A lot of people head to Siheung's Oido area for shellfish grilling, right? I also went out to Siheung's Baegot neighborhood for shellfish, and I found a whole new kind of shellfish grill I want to introduce you to. First of all, there's no time limit here, so you can eat as much and as long as you want.

There are 11 different kinds of shellfish ready to go, plus meats like pork, sausage, and beef brisket slices. It's inside a large commercial building, so there's also a spacious underground parking lot. This is 'Unlimited Refill Grilled Shellfish Siheung Baegot Branch.'

## Price: 35,900 won for adults, with no time limit

Maybe it's the good price, but as you can see, the place was packed even on a weekday. Since you pick and carry your own shellfish, you can grab exactly what you want, and with no time limit, it's easy to see why it's so popular. Because there were so many people, turnover was fast, so the shellfish was as fresh as could be.

## What's in the shellfish tank and the self-serve bar?

As I mentioned, it's a system where you take as much as you want from the tank and salad bar yourself. One side has the tank full of shellfish, the other side has sauces and meats.

There were a whopping 11 kinds of shellfish ready to go.

There were also 3 kinds of pork—pork belly, pork shoulder, pork jowl—and vegetable side dishes like kimchi, lettuce, mushrooms, and garlic.

There was also chicken nuggets, sausage, corn dogs, and corn cheese, which kids love, haha. And the pricey cheese was also unlimited refill, which felt like such a steal.

You can pile on beef brisket like a mala-tang and finish it all off with ramen. Just note the ramen costs an extra ₩3,000, but you get to make it yourself. You can throw in shellfish, and there's shrimp and dumplings at the self-serve bar too.

## The split grill pan: meat on one side, clams on the other

So the grill pan is divided into two sides—one for grilling meat, the other for grilling shellfish.

We put meat and sausage on one side and shellfish on the other and started digging in. Since there's no time limit, we could eat slowly and comfortably, which was honestly the best part.

I only really like scallops, abalone, and razor clams among shellfish, and I was able to pick out fresh ones exactly as I wanted. When I went, the owner wasn't around, just staff, so I could eat as much as I wanted without feeling self-conscious.

You know how they say a shellfish is spoiled if it doesn't open when cooked? Not a single one here was like that—all fresh.

There was sesame oil and cheese and various other things ready, so I mixed up sauces to my taste and dipped away. It's unlimited refill, so you've got to eat a lot, haha.

We just kept going back for more—sorry, owner, haha. The staff kept refilling right away so the tank was always full.

I even grabbed the pricier abalone straight onto the grill. It was clinging so tightly to the tank that it was hard to pull off, which made me think it must be really healthy.

## Finishing with the 3,000 won seafood jjamppong ramyeon

I wanted a spicy seafood ramen loaded with fresh seafood, so I paid the ₩3,000 extra for it. I got the seafood jjamppong and it was genuinely so fresh—I highly recommend it.

When you keep dipping into cheese, you get a bit sick of it after a while, but dipping into the spicy ramen broth resets your palate so you can keep eating more.

Most of the ingredients are labeled as domestically sourced. A lot of unlimited refill places use Chinese imports, but here it's domestic, which I think is why it tasted fresher.

## Parking and opening hours in Baegot Avenue France

The underground parking lot was clean and spacious, which I really liked. The entrance/exit was wide too, nice touch. Park near the Purple building and take the elevator straight up to reach this Baegot Sincheon shellfish grill favorite.

## Three hours at the table with nobody rushing you

For about ₩30,000 per person, you can eat 11 kinds of domestic shellfish as much as you want with no time limit. Staff don't bring the food to you—you go get it yourself—so it really is a 100%-freedom kind of restaurant. There were also plenty of staff, so grill pans got swapped out quickly whenever needed. We ate so much we stayed about 3 hours, and they gave us free parking for the full 3 hours too, which was such a nice touch. I think from now on, this is where I'm coming instead of the shellfish grills in Siheung Oido. 100% revisit for me.
