Today I visited Donut Farm, a brunch café in Sinbong Food Town in Yongin. It's a place where you can enjoy brunch salads, but it has a special charm that sets it apart from a regular café.

Inside the café there's a smart farm experience space where you can actually watch vegetables growing, and the café says it uses the vegetables it grows itself in its salads. ## Donut Farm's location, hours, and parking

Donut Farm is located at 2F A-202, 364 Sinbong 1-ro, Suji-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, inside Sinbong Food Town. It's open daily from 09:00 to 20:00.

Parking is free in the building's underground lot. Even though I visited during Saturday lunch, there were plenty of spots, so it was easy to get there by car.

## The atmosphere inside Donut Farm

As soon as I walked in, the wide, clean space caught my eye and gave the place a relaxed feel.

With a clean white-toned interior centered around wood tables and chairs, the whole space feels warm and comfortable.

Sunlight pours in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, making the interior even brighter and more pleasant. The tables are spaced out generously too, so it's a comfortable place to enjoy brunch without feeling cramped.

What impressed me most was the smart farm experience space. You can watch vegetables growing under purple lighting, and it would be even more fascinating and fun to visit with kids.

Donut Farm is both a children's experience center and a space for teaching space agriculture technology, run as an approved education facility with office of education certification. What impressed me especially was that vegetables grown here are used first as salad ingredients sold in the café.

Kids get to experience agricultural technology firsthand and see how the vegetables they normally eat actually grow, which gives this place a different charm from a regular café.

There's a wide variety on offer — rye bread with 4 kinds of homemade jam, Greek yogurt, grilled corn and potatoes, sweet pumpkin, vegetables, potato gratin, spinach frittata, salad pasta, and soup.

It's a build-your-own plate where you pick whatever you like, so you get to try a good variety. The salad vegetables at Donut Farm felt especially fresh since they're grown in-house.

Morning plate + table coffee, ₩22,000. I wanted to try a bit of everything, so I loaded up a little of each item — the portion turned out to be bigger than expected, filling enough on its own.

Rather than bold flavors, the natural taste of the ingredients came through, and the vegetables were crisp and fresh — overall Donut Farm's morning plate was clean and healthy to eat.

Honey cod, ₩22,000. Personally, I really enjoyed this one and want to recommend it to you all.

Grilled lemon, cherry tomatoes, and olives are placed on top of the cod, so it looks pretty and appetizing right from the color alone. Underneath is a creamy sauce, perfect for dipping the cod.

The cod is moist and mild, and with the sweet, savory-salty sauce, the umami flavor is really good.

Dip the cod in the soft sauce and you get a nutty, subtly sweet flavor combination that keeps you reaching for more.
