## In short

Nojak Jinseong Agu-jjim, Yongin Suji District Office Branch is a braised monkfish restaurant near Suji District Office in Yongin, Gyeonggi. I had the small agu-jjim at Shin Ramyun-level heat, with plump monkfish, crisp bean sprouts, and complimentary grilled fish. A great choice for spicy seasoning with rice.

The restaurant is clean and comfortable overall, making it a pleasant place for a meal. The seating consists of four-person tables, and the tables are spaced generously apart, so it is nice for dining with family or friends.

## Banchan served before the agu-jjim

![Banchan served after ordering agu-jjim](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-suji-agujjim-nojak-jinseong/yongin-suji-agujjim-nojak-jinseong-11-1a2wb-900.webp)

When I ordered agu-jjim, the banchan (Korean side dishes) were set out one by one. There was seaweed soup, pickled onions, cabbage salad, beondegi (silkworm pupae), and white kimchi, among other things.

![Seaweed soup and assorted banchan](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-suji-agujjim-nojak-jinseong/yongin-suji-agujjim-nojak-jinseong-12-1pf9u-900.webp)

![Warm seaweed soup side dish](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-suji-agujjim-nojak-jinseong/yongin-suji-agujjim-nojak-jinseong-13-1kiiw-900.webp)

The warm seaweed soup in particular combines tender seaweed with a light broth, so it is nice to have a spoonful before the agu-jjim. Its clean, mild flavor also makes it a good accompaniment to spicy food.

## A generous complimentary grilled fish, too

![Complimentary grilled fish](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-suji-agujjim-nojak-jinseong/yongin-suji-agujjim-nojak-jinseong-14-1bqex-900.webp)

Along with the side dishes, complimentary grilled fish arrives as well. It is nicely browned, glossy on the surface, and tender and moist inside.

For a complimentary grilled fish, it has substantial flesh and great flavor—honestly, it is as delicious as something from a grilled-fish restaurant. It is perfect for picking at the fish while waiting for the agu-jjim.

## Small agu-jjim at Level 1 Shin Ramyun heat

![Small agu-jjim at Level 1 Shin Ramyun heat](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-suji-agujjim-nojak-jinseong/yongin-suji-agujjim-nojak-jinseong-17-1rvg0-900.webp)

I ordered the small agu-jjim for ₩34,000 at Level 1, Shin Ramyun heat. Served in a large pot, the generous portion immediately won me over.

The glossy agu-jjim is full of plump monkfish and bean sprouts, with sesame seeds scattered over the top, so it makes your mouth water just looking at it. There is also plenty of fragrant minari (water parsley) and chewy mideodeok (sea squirts) tucked among the monkfish, making it fun to pick through all the ingredients.

![Agu-jjim with minari and mideodeok](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-suji-agujjim-nojak-jinseong/yongin-suji-agujjim-nojak-jinseong-18-4km3r-900.webp)

![Plump monkfish and bean sprouts in agu-jjim](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-suji-agujjim-nojak-jinseong/yongin-suji-agujjim-nojak-jinseong-19-r8573-900.webp)

![Generous agu-jjim sprinkled with sesame seeds](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-suji-agujjim-nojak-jinseong/yongin-suji-agujjim-nojak-jinseong-20-g2b93-900.webp)

The monkfish is wonderfully plump, and one bite brings out a soft, moist, mild flavor. Eating it with the crunchy bean sprouts is really delicious, as the tender monkfish and crisp sprouts work together so well.

![A bite of monkfish with bean sprouts](https://img.superchart.com/images/yongin-suji-agujjim-nojak-jinseong/yongin-suji-agujjim-nojak-jinseong-21-atg2c-900.webp)

At Level 1 Shin Ramyun heat, it has a pleasantly spicy kick with added savoriness that keeps you reaching back in. The seasoning soaks right into the monkfish and sprouts, and putting a piece of monkfish on rice with plenty of sprouts and sauce is an absolute rice thief.
