I have a family event coming up soon, so I have been looking for somewhere good to take the elders for a meal. Where could we enjoy neatly prepared food in a quiet setting...? As I thought about it, Suksudaega, a great Korean set-meal restaurant in Pyeongtaek, immediately came to mind. Since it had come to mind, I used some weekday time to stop by and see what the food selection and courses are like these days. Suksudaega is at 131 Gangbyeon-ro, Anjung-eup, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. It sits roughly between Pyeongtaek and Anjung. If you are coming from Pyeongtaek, traveling along the Oseong riverside is enjoyable because you can take in the scenery along the way. The Suksudaega sign is easy to spot even from far away. There is plenty of parking both right in front of and beside the restaurant, so you can visit without worrying about parking. Hours are daily from 11:30 to 20:50, with a break from 15:30 to 17:30. Last orders are 14:00 for lunch and 19:20 for dinner. Everything was damp after the rain. There is even a waterwheel turning inside, and the exterior has such a nice atmosphere for a Korean set-meal restaurant, right? The pumpkin porridge was smooth and sweet~~, perfect before the meal. Wow~~~ There was even pot rice and doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew)~ You can serve out the pot rice, then add water to finish with nurungji (scorched rice). It is also great eaten with the borigulbi^^ I have been to many Korean set-meal restaurants here and there. At Suksudaega, the price, selection, and flavor all felt harmonious.
