Each had a different style, so it was fun to try them one by one, and sharing meant that even three dishes felt nicely varied for two people 🤍 > It felt too bad to choose just one, so we ended up ordering all three 😋 ## The generously filled Classic Bao We started with the Classic Bao, a steamed bun. I liked that it had more meat inside than I expected. The bun wrapping it was a little different from ordinary bread too—it was soft and fluffy, almost like a flower-shaped steamed bun. When I think of beef noodle soup, I first picture a rich, heavy broth, but this one had a slight tanginess that made it much cleaner than I expected. Rather than feeling like something I would stop after a few spoonfuls, I kept reaching for the broth as I ate, haha. Slurping up the noodles with the meat, then taking a sip of broth, was such a good combination. I like braised pork, so I had high hopes for this one too, and of course it was delicious with rice 🤤 The characteristically tender pork and seasoning went so well with the rice that I kept taking bites of them together. I especially enjoyed the Taiwanese beef noodle soup more than I expected; I loved that its lightly tangy broth did not become tiring until the last bite. The Classic Bao was delicious too, with its generous meat filling and fluffy, flower-bun-like bao, while the braised pork rice bowl was satisfying because the tender meat went so well with the rice.
