## In short

Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim Gamjatang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch is a Korean restaurant in Nonhyeon-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon, serving braised pork bones and gamjatang (pork bone soup). Before a Sunday outing, the writer's family ordered four dishes with the kids — Cheongchun gungjung bbyeojjim (royal-style braised pork bones), Cheongchun bulppyeojjim (spicy braised pork bones), Cheongchun bbyeo haejangguk (pork bone hangover soup) and Cheongchun bbyeo kalguksu (pork bones with knife-cut noodles) — and each single serving came with two big bones. The kids went for the sweet gungjung bbyeojjim and her husband for the spicy bulppyeojjim, a meal that erased the family's doubts about braised pork bones.

Last Sunday, before heading out on an outing with the kids, we stopped by Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim Gamjatang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch to fill up on a hearty meal, and I wanted to share our visit to this Nonhyeon, Incheon restaurant.

![Exterior of Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim Gamjatang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus-01-bork8-1200.webp)

That day I wanted rice but also had a craving for gamjatang (pork bone soup), so we went. Honestly, though, our family didn't have high expectations for bbyeojjim (braised pork bones).

We'd been disappointed by bbyeojjim at a famous gamjatang place before, so we hadn't ordered it much since then. But this time was different.

![Atmosphere of the bbyeojjim table setting at the store](https://img.superchart.com/images/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus-02-g9m1u-966.webp)

The bbyeojjim at the table next to us looked so delicious that we got curious and ended up ordering several menu items ourselves. The result: total satisfaction! Even the kids and my husband ate happily. We ordered four dishes in total — Cheongchun Gungjung Bbyeojjim, Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim, Cheongchun Bbyeo Haejangguk, and Cheongchun Bbyeo Kalguksu!

The meat was tender and came off the bone easily, so even my husband, who usually hates picking meat off bones, could eat comfortably.

So let me start telling the story of our visit to Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim Gamjatang, the Nonhyeon, Incheon restaurant where our whole family ate deliciously and left full.

## Where is Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim Gamjatang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch, and where do you park?

Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim Gamjatang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch is located at 44 Nongogae-ro 123beon-gil, Nonhyeon-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon, 1st floor. There are 4 parking spots behind the store, parking is also available in front, and they provide a 30-minute parking discount voucher.

We parked for about an hour, and after getting the discount voucher from the store, we ended up paying just ₩600. Some restaurants have cramped, inconvenient parking lots, but being able to park right in front was really convenient.

I'd recommend checking with the store before you visit. As of when I'm writing this, the store was under renewal construction until September 28.

The interior was clean and the owner was friendly. We visited with the kids and it was comfortable to eat there, which I appreciated.

## The four pork bone dishes this family ordered

That day at Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim Gamjatang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch, we ordered Cheongchun Gungjung Bbyeojjim, Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim, Cheongchun Bbyeo Haejangguk, and Cheongchun Bbyeo Kalguksu.

![Gungjung bbyeojjim and bulppyeojjim side by side on the table](https://img.superchart.com/images/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus-09-1u40m-966.webp)

We came for gamjatang and ended up ordering a whole variety of bbyeojjim too. After ordering, the basic side dishes were set out.

![Basic side dishes set out after ordering](https://img.superchart.com/images/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus-10-7wix0-966.webp)

Honestly, I thought at least one dish might be a letdown, but I was surprised that they were all delicious when we actually tried them.

## Cheongchun gungjung bbyeojjim: sweet enough that the kids mixed rice into it

First up is the gungjung bbyeojjim (royal-style braised pork bones), which the kids really loved. It's not spicy — the sauce is sweet, like galbijjim (braised short ribs) — so it wasn't a stretch for the kids to eat.

Picking the meat off the bone and mixing it with rice was a really great combination.

At first, the kids were a bit disappointed when I said we were going for gamjatang, but after eating the gungjung bbyeojjim, they said they were glad we came and that it was so delicious.

![Sweet-sauced Cheongchun Gungjung Bbyeojjim](https://img.superchart.com/images/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus-11-nkw7e-m-966.webp)

If you're looking for a dish to eat with kids, gungjung bbyeojjim seems like a solid choice.

## Cheongchun bulppyeojjim: the spicy dish that won over her husband

![Spicy-sauced Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim](https://img.superchart.com/images/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus-12-1mkfh-966.webp)

The bulppyeojjim (spicy braised pork bones) my husband ordered was just the right amount of spicy, and the depth of flavor in the sauce was really good.

![Close-up of bulppyeojjim meat and sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus-13-rv3ja-966.webp)

It wasn't just spicy for the sake of being spicy — the meat and sauce blended together so well that I kept reaching for more. My husband was satisfied the moment he took a bite, saying it was delicious.

![Picking up a piece of bulppyeojjim](https://img.superchart.com/images/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus-14-1tzfm-966.webp)

It felt totally different from the bbyeojjim we'd had before, so I was surprised too after one bite.

![Sauce-coated bulppyeojjim meat](https://img.superchart.com/images/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus-15-14wag-966.webp)

I think the sauce is what makes or breaks bbyeojjim, and Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim Gamjatang's sauce was so good it went great with rice too.

![Eating bulppyeojjim with rice](https://img.superchart.com/images/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus-16-zntih-966.webp)

And my husband, who normally avoids gamjatang because he hates picking meat off bones, dug in enthusiastically since the meat came off so easily even with chopsticks.

## Cheongchun bbyeo kalguksu: filling noodles instead of rice

![A bowl of Cheongchun Bbyeo Kalguksu](https://img.superchart.com/images/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus-17-pt2vm-966.webp)

I ordered the bbyeo kalguksu (pork bone knife-cut noodle soup). The menu name sounded a bit unfamiliar at first, but it turned out to be quite filling.

![Two large chunks of meat inside the bbyeo kalguksu](https://img.superchart.com/images/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus-18-153lq-966.webp)

With kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) included, it's a great choice on days you want noodles instead of rice, and there was plenty of meat on the bone too.

With two chunks of meat that size, how could it not be filling?

Between picking off the meat and eating the noodles, I was full from just that one bowl.

## Cheongchun bbyeo haejangguk: loaded with siraegi (dried radish greens)

![Cheongchun Bbyeo Haejangguk packed with siraegi](https://img.superchart.com/images/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus-19-sbwt2-966.webp)

Since the bbyeojjim was so good, I had high hopes for the haejangguk (hangover soup) too. It had big bones with plenty of meat, and it was packed with siraegi (dried radish greens).

![Large bones and siraegi in the haejangguk](https://img.superchart.com/images/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus-20-1qnod-966.webp)

Picking off the meat and eating it with the siraegi, the earthy flavors matched really well.

![Picking meat off the bone from the haejangguk](https://img.superchart.com/images/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus-21-1o3i1-966.webp)

It felt like no matter how much we ate, the bones never seemed to run out — even full, I kept picking meat off until the very end. We ate so much that day that we were still full by dinnertime.

## Is this Nonhyeon, Incheon pork bone restaurant worth a return visit?

![Bbyeojjim and soup dishes the family ate together](https://img.superchart.com/images/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus-22-13ps4-966.webp)

What satisfied me most about this visit was that everyone in the family got to enjoy a dish suited to their own taste. The kids enjoyed the sweet gungjung bbyeojjim and the haejangguk, my husband enjoyed the spicy bulppyeojjim, and I enjoyed the bbyeo kalguksu. Even though we ordered single servings, each one came with two large bones, so the portions felt generous too.

![Two large bones included in a single serving](https://img.superchart.com/images/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus-23-6ohfk-966.webp)

The owner was friendly and the store was clean, so we had a pleasant meal. Most of all, the food was so delicious there was no reason not to come back.

![Table at Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim Gamjatang after finishing the meal](https://img.superchart.com/images/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus/incheon-nonhyeon-bone-stew-family-four-menus-24-1beyr-m-966.webp)

If you're looking for haejangguk or gamjatang in Nonhyeon, Incheon, definitely check out Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim Gamjatang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch. It seems especially suited to people who love bbyeojjim or want a hearty meal with their kids.

After this visit, our family's skepticism about bbyeojjim completely disappeared. It's a place I'd love to visit again whenever the craving hits.
