I had an errand in Bucheon’s Jung-dong area that day, and since I wanted Chinese food for the first time in a while, I visited Jjambbong Jijon (짬뽕지존) Bucheon Jung-dong Branch. I’m already a big jjamppong fan, so I stopped in while looking for a jjamppong place in Bucheon. Since it was discounted from the regular price, it seemed like a good chance for jjajangmyeon lovers, as well as jjamppong fans, to order without much 부담. The tables were not cramped together, and the overall atmosphere was clean, so it looked fine even for dining alone. In particular, every table had a screen, like a kiosk, where you could browse the menu and order, making it easy to take your time choosing. It was nice that every sip came with a variety of ingredients to chew on, and the noodles went well with the soup too. Personally, when I eat jjamppong, I prefer broth that is not simply too hot but has a spicy depth that keeps me reaching for another spoonful. You can bring over side dishes and anything else you need yourself, and there is rice too, so I think people who like to mix rice into their soup would find it quite satisfying. The restaurant’s introduction also says that the self bar offers various side dishes and rice. The menu selection was especially varied and the restaurant was spacious, making it easy to choose something that suits your taste. If you are looking for somewhere to eat around Jung-dong or Bucheon City Hall Station, it is worth stopping by at least once! It would be a nice place to visit on a day when you suddenly crave a spicy broth like I did.
