I visited Sotbap Hansang (솥밥한상) in Idong-eup, Cheoin-gu, Yongin, with my younger sibling. I was not particularly craving Korean set-meal food that day, so I arrived without high expectations. After eating the seafood marinades, varied side dishes, and scorched rice from the stone pot, I was more satisfied than expected.

## Where is Sotbap Hansang, and is parking convenient?

The address is 68-1 Sangdeok-ro, Idong-eup, Cheoin-gu, Yongin. According to the original listing, it is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., including major Korean holidays and public holidays.

After passing Yongin University and following a winding road, I saw a Sotbap Hansang sign. The road was quite bumpy, so I had to be careful when driving in.

There is a separate free parking lot. Following the signs led me into the parking area.

The parking lot is connected to the restaurant, so entering was easy. The path from the parking lot to the restaurant has no stairs, so it also looked manageable for a stroller.

The yard in front of the restaurant was arranged like a walking path. Inside, the restaurant had the atmosphere of an older dining establishment.

## Is it a good space for a family meal with parents?

When I visited around 6 p.m. on Friday, about three or four tables were occupied. The restaurant is spacious and has many tables, so it looked suitable for a family gathering. We were shown to a seat by a large window.

## What stood out in the assorted seafood marinade set meal?

After waiting about 5–10 minutes, all the food was served. The seafood marinades, several side dishes, and stone-pot rice made the meal feel generous.

First, I transferred the rice to another bowl, poured sungnyung (scorched-rice tea) into the stone pot, and put the lid back on. I prepared it in advance so I could eat the scorched rice after the meal.

I enjoyed the side dishes along with the seafood marinades. There were many different banchan (side dishes), and I especially liked the crispy jeon (savory Korean pancakes). My sibling ate the flounder enthusiastically. While eating, I found myself thinking that I would like to return with my parents.

After eating a good portion of the seafood marinades, I opened the stone-pot lid. The scorched rice softened nicely in the sungnyung, so I tilted the pot and ate it all the way to the end.

## What was available when I went for more side dishes?

When I went to refill the side dishes, I also found sweet pumpkin porridge and seaweed soup. Steam was rising from both, which made me want to try them even though I was already full.

I usually dislike pumpkin and do not eat pumpkin porridge, but that day I took a small serving of the sweet pumpkin porridge. It tasted good to me too, so it stayed in my memory.

## Is there a café space or takeout after the meal?

The seafood marinades were also available for takeout. Inside the restaurant, there was a café space where visitors could pour themselves coffee or other drinks.

I thought it would be nice to bring older family members here and have a drink after the meal without moving to another café. Next time, I would also like to try the stir-fried octopus, pork, and shrimp set meal or the charcoal-grilled pork set meal instead of the seafood marinades.
