## What kind of restaurant is Chodaechang Baekseok Branch, a Blue Ribbon pick three years running?

Chodaechang Baekseok Branch has been selected in the Blue Ribbon Survey for three consecutive years, from 2024 to 2026 — a Korean beef daechang specialty restaurant. Living up to that flashy title, they insist on only quality Korean beef gopchang, so there's zero funky smell.

Even gopchang places using imported intestines can be shockingly pricey, so I think it's pretty great that this place, which insists only on Korean beef, is priced this reasonably!

Maybe because it's all Korean beef, I felt a clean yet fresh flavor.

## Is the 770g assorted grill S set enough for two people?

What I ordered was the assorted grill S set, which lets you taste daechang, makchang, teukyang, yeomtong, and gopchang all at once. It's priced at ₩85,000, with a weight of 770g.

The portion comes out generous and hearty enough for two people. I remember that on a previous visit with two people, we ordered the ₩66,000, 640g A set, and it felt slightly short, so we ended up adding an extra order of gopchang.

This time, we ordered the S set from the start, and it was plenty for two people to eat until full.

If you normally eat a bit more, or if you just want to enjoy meat to your heart's content, don't even hesitate — just order the S set.

The assorted grill with a variety of cuts is wonderful, but if you have a particular cut you especially love, you can also order it individually.

## Kimchi-mari guksu (chilled kimchi noodles) for a clean finish

After happily eating meat for a while, I started craving something to cleanse my palate, so I ordered a refreshing kimchi-mari guksu (kimchi noodle soup) on the side.

The broth wasn't harsh at all and had a clean, refreshing taste, so it went well alongside the fatty gopchang and daechang.

Since I'd mostly been eating fatty cuts of meat, I felt like I was a bit short on carbs, so I added the noodles haha. If you're dieting though, I'd recommend just focusing on protein and fat instead of adding carbs.

## Grilled vegetables that cut the richness, plus an Excellent ice cream bar

Personally, of all the offal cuts, gopchang and daechang are my favorites, but since they're pretty fatty parts, my stomach got a little greasy-feeling the more I ate.

So mixing in a variety of different cuts like this actually makes it easier on the stomach and lets you enjoy every last bite without getting sick of it haha.

Grilling shishito peppers, bell peppers, and green onion alongside the meat on the griddle and eating them in between bites helped finish the meal cleanly without any greasiness.

After happily filling up and paying to head out, the owner handed us each a nostalgic Excellent ice cream bar for dessert.

Walking through the cool night streets while nibbling on the sweet vanilla ice cream, full and satisfied with something sweet — it was a happy autumn evening haha.
