When I visited, the weather had just turned cool, so they had the front doors wide open for an outdoor-stall kind of vibe. There was corn salad, pickled onions, garlic scapes, green onion kimchi, and soft tofu stew, so the basic spread was pretty impressive (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و The fact that soft tofu stew comes as a basic side at a pork rib place was amazing! It was nice to have a warm stew alongside everything haha. You can freely bring extra side dishes from the self-service bar! In addition to the sides set out initially, there were shredded garlic scapes and white kimchi, so we brought back a little more of each (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) But spoiler alert: the shredded garlic scapes are seriously the key…! They go so, so well with the pork ribs!!! 👀 About 15 minutes after ordering, the cooked pork ribs arrived! Their golden-brown exterior was glistening, so the visuals were already exploding (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و We got six bones each of the spicy and barbecue ribs, and there was plenty of meat on them, so the portions were more generous than expected! They arrived fully cooked and ready to eat, but we put them on the grill to keep them warm until the end haha. The cheese and nostalgic lunchbox arrived too, and the table setup was finally complete! You can see how substantial the meat is even just in the photos, right? 👀 I’d always thought of pork ribs as mostly bone with hardly any meat left on them… but after eating ribs at Suamgol, that image completely changed!!! (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧ They were big, so I cut them with scissors into easy-to-eat pieces and tried them in different ways! Don’t shake it like me—mix it thoroughly with a spoon!!! I took a bite of the properly mixed nostalgic lunchbox, and of course… of course it was the kind of flavor that can’t fail, rightㅠㅠ With stir-fried kimchi, salty sausage, and nutty seaweed, it was exactly that nostalgic taste!
