This time, traveling with my family, I was looking for baby-friendly restaurants, and I happen to have a friend who lives in Gangneung, so I asked for a recommendation! We went to Jeong Eunsuk Chodang Sundubu, which they recommended. It's not just a sundubu-only menu — it comes with sundubu jjigae, bossam (boiled pork), tofu, gajami-sikhae (fermented flatfish), and braised pollock all together, which was great for trying a bit of everything when there were several of us. The soft, cloud-like tofu was smooth and nutty, so it was easy to eat without being too intense. Yesterday I ate jjamppong sundubu at a famous Gangneung restaurant (DHGD) and was shocked at how intense and salty it was;;; Here, even with red chili powder in it, the seasoning was spot on, and my whole family gave it a thumbs up.. But when I tried it, it was better than I thought. The bossam pork was fairly soft, so it worked well for the baby too. My baby ate the sundubu and bossam happily. When you take a baby to a restaurant, it's stressful if there's only food for adults, but having a soft dish like sundubu made it easy to feed her too.
