A little after dinnertime, my friend and I were heading from Seongsu toward Konkuk University when I suddenly remembered this place from a previous visit, so we dropped in. This was already my second time here, and even after a while it still had that same hip atmosphere — it was oddly nice to see it again. ## What the space feels like: a hip basement that isn't stuffy Even though Pizza Slice Seoul is in a basement, it doesn't feel stuffy at all — the distinctive atmosphere really comes through. Hip-hop plays nonstop, and listening to it while eating pizza sets the mood just right. You can feel that free, hip Seongsu-style energy, which made it easy to relax and chat with my friend. The pepperoni's signature saltiness really came through, so it wasn't bland at all — proper pizza flavor through and through. The crust wasn't too thick or heavy either, so a whole slice felt lighter than expected. It went especially well with the Budweiser. It has a subtle mushroom aroma and flavor, with the cheese's nuttiness adding to a soft, mild taste — that's the point of it. If pepperoni pizza is salty and rich, mushroom is the subtle one. Glad we ordered both haha :) The mushroom flavor blends naturally with the cheese, and the pizza itself never feels too intense, so it's easy to eat comfortably.
