## In short

Bonghyejane Jubang Gwanggyo Avenuefrance is a Korean restaurant on the 1st floor Raon Zone of Avenuefrance in Gwanggyo, Suwon, near Gwanggyo Jungang Station. The writer ordered the nakji deopbap set (spicy octopus rice bowl), a bossam (boiled pork) tasting plate, mukbap radish jelly with ice, and bibim jjolmyeon (spicy cold noodles) with fried dumplings, enjoying charcoal-smoky heat, clean-tasting bossam, and cool mukbap all on one table. The mushroom perilla soup that comes with the nakji deopbap set tames the spice, making it kid-friendly too.

When you're craving a spicy Korean meal in Gwanggyo, this is a great place to go — Bonghyejane Jubang (봉혜자네주방) Gwanggyo Avenuefrance branch. It's on the 1st floor of Avenuefrance, close to Gwanggyo Jungang Station, so it's easy to get to, and it's a Gwanggyo Korean restaurant where you can enjoy everything from stir-fried octopus to bossam to noodles. I'd recommend it not just for lunch but for family outings, meals with kids, or as part of a Gwanggyo date course.

Gwanggyo Avenuefrance is a great place to naturally follow a meal with a café visit or a walk. Bonghyejane Jubang is on the 1st floor Raon Zone of Avenuefrance, so it wasn't hard to find, and it was also close to Gwanggyo Jungang Station, making it convenient by public transit. For parking, you just apply the discount at the store where you paid and drive out, so it was low-hassle even on a day we drove for a family outing!

## Interior and seating

The interior has a clean, comfortable Korean restaurant vibe. It's set up well for table dining, so it works for family meals or friend gatherings, and since the menu comes in well-organized set forms, it's also good for a solo visit!

You can order spicy dishes alongside milder ones, so the menu combinations work well whether you're with someone who loves spicy food or eating with a kid. This time we ordered the nakji deopbap set, a bossam tasting plate, mukbap with ice, and bibim jjolmyeon with fried dumplings.

## Nakji deopbap set — charcoal-smoky flavor and mushroom perilla soup

First, the nakji deopbap (octopus rice bowl) set was the dish that best showed off Bonghyejane Jubang's charm. The rice bowl with plump octopus and sauce had a flavor that emptied a whole bowl of rice in no time. There's a subtle char flavor as if it were stir-fried over an open flame, and the sweet-and-spicy sauce brings out the octopus's savory depth 👍🏻

![Close-up of octopus stir-fried in sauce over rice](https://img.superchart.com/images/bonghyeja-kitchen-gwanggyo-avenue-france/bonghyeja-kitchen-gwanggyo-avenue-france-10-1k6ls-900.webp)

![Nakji deopbap served with side dishes](https://img.superchart.com/images/bonghyeja-kitchen-gwanggyo-avenue-france/bonghyeja-kitchen-gwanggyo-avenue-france-11-ktdsd-900.webp)

The nakji deopbap is definitely spicy, but it's a balanced spiciness that goes well with rice rather than being harsh for its own sake. Pairing it with side dishes makes it even more filling, and with that smoky flavor alive in it, it's especially good for a day in Gwanggyo when you're craving something spicy and Korean!

![Mushroom perilla soup served with the nakji deopbap set](https://img.superchart.com/images/bonghyeja-kitchen-gwanggyo-avenue-france/bonghyeja-kitchen-gwanggyo-avenue-france-12-15bb1-900.webp)

This is the mushroom perilla soup that comes with the nakji deopbap set. The savory aroma stirs up your appetite, and the thick, rich perilla broth completely tames the spice — pairing them together is the best of both worlds! It seems like a dish anyone would love, from kids who can't handle spicy food to health-conscious people of any age 🩵👍🏻 If you're looking for a lunch spot at Gwanggyo Avenuefrance, I'd recommend the nakji deopbap set.

![Bossam tasting plate](https://img.superchart.com/images/bonghyeja-kitchen-gwanggyo-avenue-france/bonghyeja-kitchen-gwanggyo-avenue-france-14-1ewwa-900.webp)

## Bossam tasting plate — a good pairing with the spicy rice bowl

The bossam tasting plate is a good combo to order alongside the spicy nakji deopbap. The bossam had a moist, tender texture, and thanks to a good balance of fat and lean meat it was clean-tasting yet savory. Pairing a bite of bossam with the spicy octopus stir-fry or rice bowl gently mellows the heat in your mouth.

## Mukbap with ice and bibim jjolmyeon with fried dumplings

The mukbap (radish jelly in cold broth) with ice was the dish that balanced out the table. The cool broth with chewy jelly cubes and ice was great to eat after the spicy nakji deopbap. The tangy, refreshing broth cleanses your palate, and having a bit of it between bites of other dishes makes the whole spread feel more rounded. I'd especially recommend it on a hot day or a day when you order something spicy.

The bibim jjolmyeon (spicy cold chewy noodles) with fried dumplings was good to share alongside the main dishes. The chewy noodles are well coated in a tangy-spicy sauce that perks up your appetite, and pairing it with crispy fried dumplings adds fun texture too. If the nakji deopbap is the charcoal-grilled Korean dish that goes well with rice, the bibim jjolmyeon was a light, tasty side dish to round things out.

## Parking registration and promotions

After a delicious meal, right before heading out — you can self-register your parking, which was very convenient. Also, if you add Gwanggyo Bonghyejane Jubang as a friend on KakaoTalk, you can get bonus points and a coupon you can use right away, and I heard that adding them as a channel friend gets you a free cool slushie, so be sure to check it out!

## What I want to try next time

Bonghyejane Jubang is also known for its signature whole octopus and stir-fried baby octopus dishes with that same charcoal-smoky flavor. Next time I'd like to visit with a group and also try the whole octopus stir-fry, gamtae (laver) gimbap, and perilla oil buckwheat noodles. With such a wide range of menu options, it seems like a place that works for everything from a family meal with kids to a date for a couple who loves spicy Korean food. My husband, who's actually a really picky eater, cleaned his plate, so every dish we tried was genuinely good 👍🏻👍🏻

Bonghyejane Jubang Gwanggyo Avenuefrance is a Gwanggyo Korean restaurant where you can enjoy smoky nakji deopbap, clean-tasting bossam, and cool mukbap all in one meal. If you're looking for a filling meal near Gwanggyo Jungang Station, give this Gwanggyo Avenuefrance restaurant a try — with parking discounts too.
