My daughter came out of class starving, haha, so we decided to have dinner with the family of a boy she's close with from the same academy. Trying to think of something both adults and kids would enjoy, I thought — of course, this calls for the national dish, jajangmyeon (black bean noodles)!! But not just any ordinary jajangmyeon — this one comes out sizzling hot on a stone plate, with crispy nurungji (scorched rice crust) at the bottom!! Add some menbosha (shrimp toast) on the side and both kids and adults ate it up happily. Everyone who came was satisfied, so I wanted to introduce this place. Order complete: stone-plate jajang (large) + tungbosha (4pcs), 51,000 won!! Finally, today's star — the stone-plate jajang — arrived ^^ Just seeing it sizzling and bubbling on the stone plate already made it look delicious!! Since it's cooked right when you order, the ingredients stay crisp and fresh, letting you taste their real flavor. Best of all, coming out piping hot on the hot stone plate made it even more delicious, and as time passed and the jajang sauce reduced slightly, you could taste a richer, thicker flavor. ## The best part of stone-plate jajang: nurungji scraped off the plate Another highlight of stone-plate jajang is definitely the nurungji (scorched rice crust)!!!! After finishing the noodles, there's nurungji left on the stone plate, soaked through with jajang sauce. Just scrape it off with a spatula, haha. This is seriously a delicacy. Scraping off the nurungji soaked with jajang sauce, the savory, chewy texture was amazing ♡ It's worlds apart from just mixing jajang sauce with rice!!! I even mixed in the unlimited refill rice I brought from the self-serve corner, haha. The green onion kimchi was so good — you all know the jajang and green onion kimchi combo, right? The classic of all classics!!!! It goes so well with green onion kimchi!!! We rode this combo to the very end, haha. ## The kids' favorite: tungbosha shrimp toast Dolpanseok's tungbosha (menbosha, shrimp toast) exceeded expectations. Packed full inside, juices bursting out!! Fried up crispy!!! The shrimp meat was genuinely plump enough to earn the name 'tungbosha' (chubby shrimp toast). Hands down the kids' number one menu item!!!
