Seeing tteokkochi (rice cake skewers) on the menu brought back old memories too, haha. It is about a five-minute drive from Seongbok Station and Suji Lotte Mall, and both the parking and the arcade were easy to find~ Don't take the underground driveway; stay alongside the apartment complex and enter through the entrance around the middle of Seohui Starhills Apartments. It came piled high with colorful, fresh vegetables—carrot, cucumber, bean sprouts, perilla leaves, cabbage, and more—and topped with beef belly full of charcoal-grilled aroma. It was soooo good! The crisp yet soft tteokbokki rice cakes were coated in a sauce remarkably similar to the one I ate as a student, which was amazing~ haha. There are also pork loin cutlets made with 100% domestic meat, real cheese cutlets, chewy potato pancakes, shrimp tempura, flat dumplings, tteokbokki, seaweed rolls, and even kids' meals, so I think it would be great for the whole family to come eat together~ Chilseong Jemyeonso was such a delicious Seongbok-dong lunch spot that my friend and I really enjoyed!
