It was still a little hot when I visited, so I did not sit outsideㅠㅠ But in cool weather like this, it looked perfect for grilling meat at an outdoor table! Scallion salad, wrap greens, kimchi, garlic, ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste), and wasabi are included. It is really delicious grilled until golden alongside the meat, haha. We started by grilling kkodeulsal, a cut from the back of the neck 🐷 True to its name, it was a cut with a really appealing texture! It was both springy and pleasantly chewy, exactly my kind of texture, haha. It was also so delicious wrapped in greens with plenty of ssamjang and scallion salad! I tried lots of combinations, but personally, I loved the texture of the kkodeulsal itself, so I would also recommend simply having it with salt, haha. Next, we tried bolhangjeong, with cheek meat and pork jowl attached together! I liked that it let us enjoy two textures rather than just one cut. The cheek portion was tender, while the jowl had its distinctive savory richness, so each had a different charm! Pork jowl can sometimes feel overly fatty or greasy, but Dokbul Janggun's bolhangjeong was not excessively rich, making it easy to enjoy, haha.
