Daseon Kalguksu Main Branch sits near the end of the Suwon Station Rodeo Street. There's no dedicated parking, so I parked at a nearby public parking lot. ### Hours and break time 10:30 ~ 22:00 (break time 15:30 ~ 17:00) — there's a break time, so keep that in mind when you visit! Since it's a popular spot with waits, I deliberately went in the middle of the dinner lull, and there were still quite a lot of people eating. But I'm a kalguksu person at heart, so I showed up excited!! Daseon Kalguksu's kimchi is truly delicious... The combo of noodles and kimchi speaks for itself, and the freshness of the kimchi made it even better. As they say, Koreans run on rice power... The barley rice itself is nothing but seasoned raw vegetables and sesame oil, but for some reason restaurant barley rice always tastes amazing haha. Especially the barley rice you get before kalguksu — I think that's the best kind. ## Medium bossam — is it enough for two? It stays warm the whole time thanks to the steamer's heat, which I highly recommend!!!! It had been a while since I'd had bossam, and it felt nourishing and was genuinely delicious... The portion was bigger than expected too, so the medium size is plenty. The plain kalguksu comes with a rich clam broth, so anyone who likes seafood kalguksu should love it without complaint. The noodles were really chewy and soft too — you could tell they weren't the usual machine-cut texture, which I liked. The portion was big, but it was so good I finished every last bit haha. The combo with the kimchi was seriously insane. The staff at Daseon Kalguksu's Suwon main branch were also friendly, so I had a pleasant meal. Why are there so many delicious things in the world...
