Normally, even though I drive all the time, when inspection day comes around I get a little anxious about where to go and how long it'll take — but this time it wrapped up much faster and simpler than I expected. Gangseo Gongeopsa says you can get inspected even without your vehicle registration or insurance policy on hand, since they can check everything electronically — so it seems like less of a hassle if you happen to forget your documents. Being able to just walk in without a reservation was another plus. For reference: booking a comprehensive inspection on Naver on a weekday gets you a ₩10,000 discount coupon, on a weekend a ₩5,000 discount coupon, and booking a regular inspection on a weekday gets you a ₩5,000 discount coupon — so make sure to reserve before you go. All I had to do was sit in the waiting area.
