Wanting some delicious jjukumi (webfoot octopus) near Gwangmyeong Station, I visited Jeongipum Jjukkumi Gwangmyeong 1st Branch (정이품쭈꾸미 광명1호점).

![Jeongipum Jjukkumi, a jjukumi restaurant near Gwangmyeong Station](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap-01-vapm6-900.webp)

I made a Naver reservation before visiting, and the restaurant was spacious and clean, making it nice for a relaxed meal.

I arrived around 4:55 PM, and since their break time runs from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, people were already waiting! Seeing so many people made me even more excited.

There were plenty of tables, so it also seemed like a good place for a family meal or gathering.

## How do you use the spacious parking lot?

Parking matters when you drive, and it was convenient here because the parking lot is very spacious. You can receive a free parking voucher for up to two hours when using the Gwangmyeong AK Plaza parking lot, and they say you can use every level of the AK Plaza parking garage or the TAKE Hotel underground garage.

There is also a useful parking tip. Park near the EV charging stations on Basement Level 4, then come up through Core No. 5—it makes getting to the restaurant easy.

## Griddle-cooked jjukumi with black pork belly

![Griddle-cooked jjukumi and black pork belly topped with minari](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap-07-1j4ns-1200.webp)

That day, I ordered the griddle-cooked jjukumi with extra add-ons—black pork flower samgyeop (thick-cut pork belly). The jjukumi and pork belly came piled generously onto the griddle, topped with lots of minari (water celery), and the sight alone really got my appetite going.

![A generous serving of griddle-cooked jjukumi and pork belly](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap-08-rgjss-900.webp)

Along with the main dish came steamed egg, flying-fish roe, shredded pickled radish, mayonnaise, cold seaweed soup, perilla leaves, and other side dishes.

I also liked that you could put the jjukumi in a perilla leaf wrap, or pair it with shredded pickled radish and mayonnaise, making all kinds of combinations to suit your taste.

## Springy jjukumi and rich pork belly

![Springy jjukumi and rich pork belly on the griddle](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap-10-1bmx4-900.webp)

The jjukumi had a wonderfully springy texture, and its spicy-sweet seasoning had soaked in nicely, so the more I chewed, the more savory flavor came through.

![Spicy jjukumi seasoning and black pork belly](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap-11-1r5g0-900.webp)

Having it with the black pork belly brought together the pork's rich juices and the jjukumi's spicy seasoning for an even more abundant flavor.

![Minari served with jjukumi and pork belly](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap-12-1pel9-900.webp)

The minari was especially the key flavor point. They piled it generously over the meat, and its distinctive fresh aroma cut through the richness of the pork while pairing beautifully with the jjukumi seasoning.

If you love minari, this is a combination you will likely find very satisfying.

## Finish with minari flying-fish-roe fried rice

![Ordering minari flying-fish-roe fried rice](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap-13-ci4pt-900.webp)

If you have griddle-cooked jjukumi, you simply have to get fried rice, right? For the finish, I ordered minari flying-fish-roe fried rice, and the fragrant minari plus the pop of the roe really awakened my appetite.

As it fried on the griddle, a nutty aroma rose up, and scraping up even the lightly crisped bits stuck to the surface made it such a treat.

![Nutty, crisped griddle fried rice](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap-15-7hie2-900.webp)

Personally, I could really taste that deep, characteristic stir-fried flavor I love in griddle fried rice, so I kept reaching for it even though I was full.

![Flying-fish-roe fried rice wrapped in gim](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap-16-1976s-900.webp)

They recommended wrapping it in roasted gim (seaweed), so I tried it—and it was delicious!

## A place carrying on 20 years of flavor

![Introduction to Jeongipum Jjukkumi Gwangmyeong 1st Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap-17-9s7pi-900.webp)

They say Jeongipum Jjukkumi Gwangmyeong 1st Branch is different from an ordinary chain. The restaurant has been newly shaped and developed based on techniques passed directly down from the owner's maternal uncle, who runs the original restaurant with a 20-year tradition, along with 10 years of experience.

![Jeongipum Jjukkumi's philosophy on ingredients and its restaurant](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap/gwangmyeong-jeongipum-jjukkumi-minari-bokkeumbap-18-1l5wc-900.webp)

Reading the restaurant introduction, I could really feel the owner's care and philosophy toward not only the food but also the ingredients and the space itself, which made me trust it even more. After eating there myself, the ingredients felt fresh, and I got the impression that they take great care throughout the process of building flavor.

With jjukumi, black pork belly, and fragrant minari together, this was a meal with a great combination of flavors. From the spicy jjukumi to the rich pork belly and finally the flying-fish-roe fried rice, I worked through it all and before I knew it, I had finished a seriously filling meal.
