Today I'm sharing an honest review of Orange Bagel, a Suwon bagel spot on my Suwon bakery pilgrimage list — a two-story bakery café in Gosaek-dong known for its chubby sand bagels stuffed with filling!

As a large bakery café in Gosaek-dong, Orange Bagel has plenty of parking and quick turnover, so parking wasn't a worry at all.

The cute little objects scattered throughout bring out Orange Bagel's unique vibe well, making it a great pick for anyone in Suwon looking for a prop shop or goods shop too!

## A two-story large bakery café in Suwon

The store spans two floors — the 1st floor has the bakery display along with full baking facilities, and there are also tables set up in the back of the store.

## When the bagels come out

The bread comes out in a first batch in the morning at opening, and the second batch is usually around 2-3pm — but since this is such a popular Suwon brunch café for dates, you should probably brace for sellouts within about 2 hours of the bagels coming out.

Since opening is at 9am, I always try to visit in the morning, but this day it was raining so I went around 1pm — some bagels were already sold out, but they were being restocked right away. As a sand bagel spot, sellouts by 4pm seem to be the norm... even with fast turnover, there are always some bagels that sell out!

Maybe because the bagels are made fresh every day at dawn by blending French and Canadian flour, the bagels themselves have a chewy yet clean texture — the bagel alone is delicious even without the sand bagel fillings, which is why this large bakery café in Gosaek-dong, a true coffee spot in Suwon, is one I visit often 👏

## Suwon prop shop, goods shop

Being as popular as it is, Orange Bagel — a Suwon prop shop and goods shop in one — has a wide variety of goods that are fun to browse. Being such a large Suwon café, the lineup is pretty cute, mainly made up of items using the signature orange color and cute characters — mugs, tumblers, keyrings, grip tok, eco bags, pouches and so on. Not just goods with a name slapped on, but ones with the brand color rendered vividly and prettily, so the quality was better than expected and they looked even prettier in real life 🫶

## The 2nd floor feels like a studio photo zone

While the bagels were being packed, heading up to the 2nd floor revealed a totally different vibe from the 1st floor. It's decorated with tons of cute little props, and since the prop styling changes with the season, it's fun to look around — and true to being a date spot, it's fun to snag life shots too. Being such a large Suwon café, the scale is big, giving off a sleek feeling like stepping into a trendy New York café, with photo zones everywhere making it feel like a concept studio! Bagels aside, it's also a great-vibe Suwon café and sand bagel spot that's just really good for photos 👍

## Sand bagel varieties and seasonal drinks

Basil, olive, tomato, rice crack chio, mentaiko mayo, potato, sandwich, scallion bacon cream, crab and shrimp, bacon egg mayo, red bean butter bagel, jambon beurre and more — all made with a variety of house-made cream cheeses, so it's easy to eat to your taste, and I always end up agonizing for a while when picking a bagel ✨ Seasonal drinks also come out in variety — last time I had the orange bianco, and with unique coffee drinks like biancos and the orange signature latte, it's also a great spot to visit as a good coffee place in Suwon!

## The result of packing them as kids' snacks

I always used to eat in-store, but today I packed plenty to eat with my kids. The bagel visuals are a bit far from classic New York style, but I actually like the flashy sand bagel toppings even more. The price seems to have gone up by a few hundred won a few months ago, but considering inflation, it feels reasonable and understandable — and since they use Canadian flour and French butter, actually make the dough in-house, and even manage the onions themselves, with every sand bagel filling made by hand, it makes sense that repeat visits never stop 👏.

Since opening, it's established itself as a Suwon bagel spot, so weekend peak times mean both sellouts and crowds — I'd recommend visiting on weekdays before 2pm. With a crispy outside and soft inside, this large bakery café on the Suwon bakery pilgrimage — Orange Bagel — is always a hit as a snack for my two elementary-school sons!
