They were so savory that I naturally added a wrap for every bite of duck, haha. The duck bulgogi wasn't just meat — it came with quite a lot of vegetables. The seasoned duck is stir-fried with onion first, then other vegetables like bok choy, enoki mushrooms, and chives are added and cooked together on the grill. The owner stir-fried it for us personally, so there was no way to mess it up. With all the vegetables piled on, the grill got so full it felt really generous! This kind of spread is exactly why I came all the way to Ilsan with the kids for duck meat. Even in our own family, my two kids reacted very differently. ## Fourth-grader on the spicy jumulleok, first-grader on the duck soup My fourth-grade first child said it was spicy the moment he tried the duck bulgogi. For my spice-loving older kid, it was spicy but still totally manageable with rice. For my still-young first-grade second child, though, the bulgogi was clearly too spicy. Seokgi Sidae's duck soup has a white broth with chili peppers added for a spicy kick. Since my younger one would be eating it, I asked them to leave the peppers out, and it came out mild and savory instead. My older kid took a bite and said it tasted like sundaeguk (blood sausage soup), haha. It's interesting how two kids with different palates ended up eating one dish two completely different ways. In our family's case, my older, higher-grade kid ate the duck bulgogi with rice, while my first-grade younger kid, who still struggles with spice, ate well once the peppers were left out of the duck soup. What I especially liked about Seokgi Sidae's duck bulgogi was that it's stir-fried with a generous amount of vegetables and comes with lettuce wraps that I heard are grown in-house.
