## In short

Musoe Ttuk Samgyeop Sangdaewon Branch is a Korean barbecue restaurant in Sangdaewon, Seongnam, Gyeonggi, where professional grillers cook the pork. We enjoyed pork belly, pork neck, kimchi, minari, meljeot, and Garlic Bomb Jjapagetti for 16,000–5,000 won. A great pick when you want Korean BBQ without doing the grilling.

## An easy-to-park pork belly restaurant in Sangdaewon

My husband really, really loves samgyeopsal (pork belly), so we tend to go out for it regularly ^_^ This time, we finally visited Musoe Ttuk Samgyeop Sangdaewon Branch, which I’d had my eye on near our home for ages 😊 Musoe Ttuk Samgyeop is a chain, so I’d spotted it here and there before, but after visiting myself, I could see why it’s so popular ;)

Musoe Ttuk Samgyeop Sangdaewon Branch is in Seongnam Central Biz Tower 2, and convenient parking is a major plus. You get one hour of free parking, and on weekends and in the evenings, street parking is also possible on the road in front of the restaurant. The road is wide and pleasant, so I didn’t feel at all worried about getting the car scratched.

There are marked parking spaces like this too, so it’s easy to park.

It’s in the newly built Seongnam Central Biz Tower, so the building itself was neat, and the restaurant looked hygienic even from the outside.

## A busy company-dinner atmosphere, even late at night

There are lots of companies nearby, so most of the diners seemed to be having company dinners. Word has clearly spread already: even when we arrived around 8:30 p.m., the place was full. There may be a wait at peak times, so keep that in mind. I also heard that weekday evenings often bring a line because this area is packed with companies and industrial complexes.

Oh! There was also a professional griller stationed in the middle, and they grilled the meat for us. Not having to grill it ourselves was another great thing about Musoe Ttuk Samgyeop.

The interior seemed to have a retro home concept, with tiger paintings on the walls and old-fashioned wall clocks. There were lots of signatures too—maybe plenty of celebrities have visited haha.

The stainless-steel tables weren’t sticky, and I didn’t have to worry about the slippery floors that are so common at barbecue restaurants. Everything felt very clean and well maintained. There was even a cute message saying they take song requests haha.

## The menu and what we ordered

This is how the menu is laid out.

The menu posted on the wall and the kiosk menu didn’t match completely! The kiosk has additional items, so it’s worth comparing them as you order :)

We ordered one serving of gochujang pork neck (₩16,000), two servings of Musoe Ttuk pork belly (₩16,000 each), and Garlic Bomb Jjapagetti (₩5,000).

## Side dishes and the Musoe Ttuk Set for Two

The basic side dishes arrived neatly arranged like this.

![Neatly plated accompaniments for the meat](https://img.superchart.com/images/sangdaewon-grilled-pork-convenient/sangdaewon-grilled-pork-convenient-14-r7rfa-966.webp)

Fresh lettuce and pajeol-im (seasoned scallion salad).

The spread included pickled onions, pickled lettuce, pickled chili peppers, salt, wasabi sauce, ssamjang (savory dipping paste), garlic, wrap vegetables, and shredded scallions—the basics were all well covered. I love pickled chili peppers, and their sharp flavor was just right alongside the pork belly when it started to feel rich.

Since the professional griller cooked everything, all we had to do was wait comfortably. After a short wait, the Musoe Ttuk Set for Two arrived looking delicious just at a glance.

Because it came out pre-grilled, I worried it might cool down while we ate. Luckily, Musoe Ttuk Samgyeop says its grill differs from ordinary commercial grills: it was designed in-house to find the ideal temperature where the meat’s aroma and juices shine best. It didn’t cool down at all throughout the meal.

Pork belly and pork neck were arranged neatly on the cast-iron plate, with kimchi, minari (water parsley), and meljeot (fermented anchovy sauce) in the middle, so nothing got mixed together and it stayed tidy.

![Cast-iron set with meljeot and meat](https://img.superchart.com/images/sangdaewon-grilled-pork-convenient/sangdaewon-grilled-pork-convenient-19-toqzs-768.webp)

And the kimchi here was impressively good. It’s Korean-made kimchi (!!) made with highland cabbage from Gangwon-do, so I could eat it with confidence, and they use Seonjin Pork for the meat, which was reassuring quality-wise too.

It was the very definition of delicious pork, I guess? I could see why so many people come here for company dinners. It’s so easy and tasty for a group meal... there’s a reason it’s popular. The meljeot had such a deep flavor too. They aren’t even a Jeju pork-belly specialist—should meljeot this good even be allowed? ^.ㅜ

![Deep-flavored meljeot accompaniment](https://img.superchart.com/images/sangdaewon-grilled-pork-convenient/sangdaewon-grilled-pork-convenient-20-xdr5z-768.webp)

Eating the pork belly in a lettuce wrap with scallion salad and kimchi somehow felt healthy, and the kimchi and pork belly went so well together.

The pickled chili peppers weren’t too salty and had just the right amount of heat, making them great with the meat.

## Garlic Bomb Jjapagetti on the cast-iron plate

We ordered Garlic Bomb Jjapagetti as a side. Its special appeal was getting to eat Jjapagetti on a Musoe Ttuk cast-iron plate—something you can’t have elsewhere.

The Jjapagetti with garlic and Cheongyang chili peppers had a special flavor quite different from the Jjapagetti you eat at home. It felt much chewier and tastier haha. Even the final side dish was perfect at Musoe Ttuk Samgyeop Sangdaewon Branch :) I can confidently recommend it to anyone who finds grilling meat a hassle or simply wants to relax and enjoy the meal atmosphere 🤗
