Gyukatsu is something I only think of once in a while because I remember loving it in Japan, and Ichigyu happens to be close enough to Seoul Station to make it a good stop before catching a train.

You can add extra meat to the gyukatsu and steak dishes, and there are set menus made for two people. The mini beers were unbelievably cute too.. ♡ ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ )

Rather than piling on several pieces at once, grilling just one or two at a time meant you could enjoy them warm before they cooled.

## Sirloin steki set, 19,500 won — softer than the gyukatsu

Sirloin steki set, ₩19,500. This was actually my friend's order, but I ended up liking it more, haha. I basically stole the whole thing from her, hahaha ꉂꉂ(ᵔᗜᵔ*) ♡

Where the gyukatsu is a bit firmer with that fried texture, this one was softer and melted in the mouth. The cabbage salad served alongside was great to mix in between bites of meat.

## Gyukatsu set, 19,500 won, and its four sauces

Gyukatsu set, ₩19,500. The signature dish! Next to the cabbage is Ichigyu's special sauce. Above that are chili sauce, salt, wasabi, and butter.

The special sauce added a nice savory depth to the meat, and pairing it with wasabi made for a cleaner bite. Just a touch of salt was also great for tasting the beef's natural flavor on its own. Definitely worth trying every combination :)

Rice comes out enough for two so you can portion it out yourselves, served into individual small plates.

It tasted better slightly undercooked rather than fully grilled all the way through.

Honestly, this butter was the game-changer....

It was great with salt, and great with wasabi too. I love a sharp wasabi kick, so I piled it on generously.
