There are three wide parking spots out front, so it looked like there'd be no parking worries even for a group. And I noticed the terrace seats. Small plates, cups, and even kids' tableware were ready, and you could help yourself to more side dishes or vegetables if you needed. Wow, every single one suited my taste so well I wanted to take some home. Tasting them one by one, they were a clean, refreshing pairing for the makguksu. And the jeon (buckwheat pancake) that came as a default side — that was surprisingly good too! Savory and soft, perfect for picking at before the makguksu arrived. ## 📍 Charcoal-grilled tteokgalbi — our daughter loved it too The tteokgalbi finally arrived! It was bigger and thicker than expected, grilled to a mouthwatering finish. It comes sizzling on a hot iron plate, so it stays warm until the very last bite. The moment it arrived, I fed Yuna a bite. And the result... Yuna ate so well‼️ Our picky-eater Yuna finding something she loves makes mom so happy. The tteokgalbi wasn't tough at all — soft and easy for our daughter to eat. Grilled over charcoal, it had a subtle smoky note, plus a sweetish sauce that went well with rice. Yuna was clearly more interested in the tteokgalbi than the makguksu. We tried tucking tteokgalbi and cabbage salad into the mini bread to make a mini burger. This was insane‼️ Our eyes went wide the moment we took a bite. Buckwheat noodles, suyuk (boiled sliced meat), cucumber, and toppings floating in a chilled broth — it looks refreshing just to see it. They said the buckwheat noodles are kneaded in-house and made to order. Scooping up a big bundle of noodles with the broth and slurping it down — ah, exactly the taste you want in the middle of a trip. Not overly strong, and the cool broth paired perfectly with the tteokgalbi. Personally I'd also recommend the tteokgalbi + mixed makguksu combo! Finding a restaurant that both adults and a kid can enjoy while traveling is always tricky, but the tteokgalbi + water makguksu + mixed makguksu combo took care of both adult and kid tastes. And watching Yuna eat the tteokgalbi so well haha, just seeing that made mom happy 💕 If you're planning to visit Pocheon Art Valley, Myeongimong is a solid choice for a meal before or after sightseeing. Especially for a family trip, rather than agonizing over several separate dishes, I'd recommend trying tteokgalbi and makguksu together as a set.
