## In short

Geumrang Hoetjip Gwangalli Main Branch is a sashimi restaurant in Suyeong, Busan, with views of Gwangandaegyo Bridge. We ordered the Subyeon Hansang for two at 60,000 won per person, with assorted seafood, premium sashimi, one refill, and more dishes. Verdict: a satisfying choice for a generous fresh-sashimi meal with a bridge view.

Geumrang Hoetjip Gwangalli Main Branch is a Gwangalli sashimi restaurant where you can enjoy fresh sashimi and all kinds of dishes while taking in the Gwangandaegyo Bridge view, haha. I kept trying to reserve a weekend lunch but the timing never worked out, and finally!!! I went for the Subyeon Hansang at Geumrang Hoetjip with its Gwangandaegyo Bridge view. The weather was lovely, the view was pretty, and a delicious full sashimi spread was so healing and put me in a great mood, haha.

## Geumrang Hoetjip on the sixth floor and parking support

Geumrang Hoetjip is on the sixth floor~ It was convenient because I could park right out front and receive parking support!

## Subyeon Hansang price and what it includes

We ordered the Subyeon Hansang for two. It is ₩60,000 per person. Premium assorted sashimi is the main event! There were several price levels for the full sets, and just as much variety in the menu, so you can choose according to who you are with and what you feel like eating. The most expensive Geumrang Hansang is ₩80,000, Subyeon Hansang is ₩60,000, Gwangan Hansang is ₩50,000, Bada Hansang is ₩40,000, and the lunch special is ₩28,000! Hoe-deopbap (sashimi rice bowl) and seafood abalone mulhoe (cold raw-fish soup) are ₩18,000 each!!

Before the premium assorted sashimi arrived, the Subyeon Hansang spread was set out. There was nakji tangtangi (chopped live octopus), soy-marinated shrimp, assorted seafood—sea squirt, cooked shrimp, sea cucumber, and gaebul (spoon worm)—butter-grilled scallops, abalone porridge, corn cheese, and mulhoe. At the bottom right, there was also maybe boiled octopus?

### Steamed abalone over abalone porridge

Putting the steamed abalone on top of the abalone porridge and eating them together was seriously delicious. They drizzled a little sesame oil over the steamed abalone, and with the porridge added, the abalone flavor felt two or three times richer. And the abalone was not tough at all—so tender, haha. I want that steamed abalone again...

The mulhoe was sweet, tangy, and delicious too! You add the buckwheat noodles beside it and mix them in~ There was a good amount of thick-cut sashimi inside too, so it was fun to fish it out and eat it, haha.

The nakji tangtangi I enjoyed so much!! The movement was no joke, hahaha.

All kinds of seafood came beautifully arranged. There was so much to eat, including kimchi pancake, steamed egg, and salmon salad, that I did not know what to start with.

Boiled octopus and soy-marinated shrimp! The boiled octopus had lemon slices in it, and dipped into that soy-sauce-like sauce, it was fresh and chewy. Since I love octopus, I enjoyed it so much. And the soy-marinated shrimp too, haha—the plump shrimp meat had soaked up the sweet soy sauce, such a treat ㅠ_ㅠ How nice is it to get something this special as part of a full set?

## Premium assorted sashimi and one possible refill

The premium assorted sashimi arrived!! Look at those thick slices arranged on the pretty stone. Seeing the well-aged sashimi with its beautiful knife cuts, it looked so delicious that it almost felt too pretty to eat.

Konowata came with it too. What is konowata? It is sea cucumber innards preserved in salt—basically a Japanese-style salted seafood. Dipping the sashimi in it and wrapping it in gim (roasted seaweed) was so delicious! They also serve rice shari separately so you can make sushi. Such a thoughtful touch!

And you can refill the sashimi once on a small plate! We got nine more pieces of sashimi, haha. So great, right!!! We really ate our fill of fresh sashimi. Once you finish the sashimi, you can choose between maeuntang (spicy fish stew) and jiritaeng (clear fish soup).

## The meal dishes keep coming

This is mero steak. The tender butter sauce and grilled mero fish went so well together. The butter sauce was sweet, so it would suit children’s tastes too; honestly, it is a flavor everyone of every age would like!!

The braised flounder was delicious too, haha. The braising sauce was sweet with a lightly spicy finish.

This is fried corn. It was truly a special treat—the flavor that made the biggest final impression, haha. The sauce sprinkled on top was like Bburinkle sauce, and it went so well with the corn kernels inside. Sweet, salty, crisp, and kind of popping with flavor? Even if it were sold separately, I think I would order more.

Albap (fish roe rice) came out too—it really just kept coming~ I was full, but you cannot say no to albap!! It was half flying-fish roe and half rice. It had enough roe to make you think, yes, this is real albap!! haha. The roe was so pleasantly crunchy as I chewed it, and I enjoyed it very much~

## Reserve for a window seat with a Gwangandaegyo Bridge view

The inside of Geumrang Hoetjip was spacious~ It was neatly kept, and the sunlight coming through the floor-to-ceiling windows made it even brighter and nicer, haha. You can see Gwangandaegyo Bridge from any seat! But if you reserve before visiting, you can dine right by the window with a closer view of the bridge, so be sure to make a reservation at Geumrang Hoetjip before you go!

The view is so pretty, right? haha. I kept saying I wanted to live in Busan while eating sashimi. Being able to enjoy a delicious, fresh sashimi spread while looking at such a beautiful Gwangandaegyo Bridge view made me think this is definitely a sashimi restaurant worth visiting if you are coming to Gwangalli to hang out or sightsee~!

The Suyeon Park Public Parking Lot right in front, as seen from Geumrang Hoetjip on the sixth floor! If you park there, Geumrang Hoetjip supports one hour of parking, so use the public parking lot!!
