## In short

Gwanganda Jjji Gwangalli Main Branch is a seafood restaurant with floor-to-ceiling ocean views in Suyeong, Busan. The 55,000-won-per-person daejjihanhsang course ran from assorted sashimi and banchan through octopus tartare, abalone porridge, crab-leg tempura and crab stew. It's less a single plate of sashimi than a full seafood course, great for sharing with a group.

Since I was in Busan, I figured I had to eat sashimi, so I headed to Gwanganda Jjji Gwangalli Main Branch. This is a place where you can enjoy not just sashimi but a wide variety of seafood and a hearty spread of sseukidashi (side dishes). With an ocean view of Gwangan Bridge to boot, it's a great Gwangalli seafood restaurant to visit when you want a proper feast in Busan :)

Once you enter the building and take the elevator up, it's easy to find! You can feel that this is a proper local favorite from the entrance alone, right?

The interior is spacious and clean, and there are private rooms that are great for eating with a group. What I loved most was the view of Gwangan Bridge through the floor-to-ceiling windows! I visited during the day, so the sea and the bridge were both vivid, and it really felt like a proper Busan trip the whole time I was eating. It's also close to Minrak Waterside Park, so it's a good pick if you're looking for restaurants near the waterside park too.

## What's in the ₩55,000-per-person daejjihanhsang course?

![Full view of the daejjihanhsang table setting](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview-08-n9tud-966.webp)

![Seafood dishes served one after another in the daejjihanhsang course](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview-09-91jux-966.webp)

What we ordered was the daejjihanhsang course, ₩55,000 per person. This isn't just a single plate of sashimi — it's a whole sequence of dishes, from sseukidashi and seafood to assorted sashimi, followed by braised dishes, fried dishes, stew and porridge. The exact lineup of sashimi and seafood can vary by season and daily supply, so please take this as what I saw on my particular visit :)

![Basic table setting with wrapping greens, garlic, soy sauce and vinegar-chili sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview-10-8u8o5-966.webp)

Once you sit down, the basic setup arrives — wrapping greens, garlic, soy sauce and vinegar-chili sauce. Then the dishes start coming one by one, and before you know it the table is completely full...♥ Looking at the spread with Gwangan Bridge in the background, it looked hearty just to see it. At that point I already thought a lot had come out, but the food kept on coming! And the staff serving us were genuinely so kind.

### The assorted sashimi lineup

A big plate of assorted sashimi showed up too. It wasn't just one kind — several types of sashimi were neatly arranged, sliced thick for a great chewy texture. On my visit the lineup was red seabream, marbled flounder, sea bass and flatfish! Since the types can vary depending on the season and supply, please keep that in mind.

More than anything, eating sashimi piece by piece with Gwangan Bridge right in front of you was a great vibe. Being able to enjoy the ocean view together with the sashimi was one of the reasons I chose Gwanganda Jjji when looking for restaurants in Minrak-dong.

## The range of sseukidashi side dishes

The sseukidashi also came out as a full spread — a lineup that could fill you up on its own...! On my visit it included salad and crab-stick rolls, along with sashimi salad, pufferfish skin salad, grilled eel, sprout ginseng, soy-marinated crab, cockle salad, and cheese-grilled scallops — really a huge variety.

![Sseukidashi spread including sashimi salad and pufferfish skin salad](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview-12-103g0-966.webp)

![Side dishes including soy-marinated crab and grilled eel](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview-13-f7m45-966.webp)

From the tangy salads that perk up your appetite, to the salty grilled dishes and crab, to the savory scallop dish, the flavors and textures were all so different that it was fun to pick and choose. Since you could mix in other dishes between bites of sashimi instead of eating it nonstop, it never got tiring.

![Warm cooked abalone dish](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview-14-7d3rr-966.webp)

![Large chive pancake](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview-15-jwve9-966.webp)

A warm abalone dish and a big, thick chive pancake came out too. This chive pancake was so good I wanted more of it...♥ After enjoying raw sashimi earlier, this time cooked seafood and warm dishes followed, giving it a whole different feel.

![Octopus tartare (nakji tangtangi) with seasoning](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview-16-r42bm-966.webp)

Octopus tartare (nakji tangtangi) came out too. The finely chopped octopus with seasoning had a bouncy, chewy texture that really came through. Staying true to the daejjihanhsang style, I liked being able to taste a little of many kinds of seafood rather than focusing on just one.

![Plate of raw shrimp, sea squirt and abalone](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview-17-7gwi9-966.webp)

![Fresh raw shrimp still moving](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview-18-1gqin-966.webp)

Next came raw shrimp, sea squirt and abalone, full of oceanic aroma. (The raw shrimp were still moving — the freshness was on another level..!) Each had a completely different texture, so it was fun to alternate between them. These raw seafood items can vary depending on the season and daily supply!!

![Cheese-grilled scallops and spicy braised fish](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview-19-ogpap-966.webp)

After the savory cheese-grilled scallops came a braised fish dish topped generously with red seasoning. The scallops were soft and savory, and with cheese on top I think kids would love them too. The braised fish had the spicy seasoning soaked in well, cutting through any richness...♥ Warm cooked dishes kept coming between the cold seafood, so it never felt repetitive all the way through.

![Warm abalone porridge topped with sesame seeds](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview-20-a5jcs-966.webp)

## From abalone porridge to crab-leg tempura and crab stew to finish

Warm abalone porridge came out next. With sesame seeds piled generously on top of the savory porridge, it was a comforting spoonful after eating so much sashimi and seafood. Just as I started to feel full and thought this must be the end, there was still more food to come...!

![Crispy in-season crab legs, fried](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview-21-1vxic-966.webp)

![Whole-fried shrimp tempura and crab stew](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview/gwangan-dajji-seafood-course-oceanview-22-15g3q-966.webp)

Then in-season crab legs and crispy whole-fried shrimp appeared. The crab legs had a texture as crisp as a cracker, great for dipping in the accompanying sauce. And a hot, spicy crab stew rounded things off properly...! From sashimi and raw seafood to salads, grilled dishes, pancakes, braised dishes, porridge, tempura and stew — we really got to taste a huge variety of dishes in one sitting. It felt less like a typical seafood restaurant's single sashimi platter and more like a full course of seafood dishes served one after another.

## Who is this place a good fit for?

This was a great fit for anyone who wants to enjoy plentiful assorted sashimi along with a little bit of many different seafood dishes. With so many dishes, there's fun in picking and choosing, and I loved being able to eat while looking out at Gwangan Bridge through the floor-to-ceiling windows. If you're looking for a Gwangalli seafood restaurant on a Busan trip, a Minrak-dong restaurant to visit with parents, or a Gwangalli restaurant with an ocean view, Gwanganda Jjji Gwangalli Main Branch is worth considering :)
