Today my partner and I stuffed ourselves silly for the first time in a while! Let me introduce Myeongin Dwaeji Gukbap, a Changwon Bukmyeon institution that's been standing quietly in the same spot for a whopping 10 years.

## Parking and the dining room at Myeongin Dwaeji Gukbap in Bukmyeon, Changwon

Myeongin Dwaeji Gukbap has a large dedicated parking lot, so it was easy to get to by car. Pass, right off the bat, for having a spacious lot! This Changwon Bukmyeon favorite makes it very convenient to visit with your own car thanks to the roomy parking area.

### The pork broth simmering in a bubbling cauldron

In a huge cauldron, the pork soup broth was boiling away, simmering into something rich and deep. Broth simmered with real care ,, 🫪 I've clearly found the real deal Changwon Bukmyeon gukbap spot.

We visited a bit past the lunch rush, so luckily it wasn't crowded and we got there during a relaxed stretch of time. Sleeping in on weekends is always the right call..!

Every table was a roomy sofa-style setup, which looked great for family meals with little kids, and the wide spacing between tables made for a comfortable meal and a generally clean overall look.

They bring out basic side dishes, but for anything extra we used the neatly organized self-serve bar.

You could choose according to your taste from pork gukbap, lean meat gukbap, sundae gukbap, intestine gukbap, and mixed gukbap, and besides the soups there was also a nice range of side dishes like sample sundae, boiled pork (suyuk), and dumplings, great for sharing if you come with a group 🐷

## Sampler sundae, 13,000 won: the perfect partner for gukbap

Myeongin Dwaeji Gukbap's sample sundae (blood sausage) is 13,000 won, and it doesn't come with just sundae — it's served together with chewy intestine too, so I got to try a nice variety.

## What the offal gukbap broth and toppings were like

A pale, richly steeped pork soup broth 🤍 The broth wasn't heavy or muddy at all — clean, yet with a deep savory flavor.

I ordered the intestine gukbap and it was seriously, genuinely loaded with intestine. There was so much of it in the broth that every spoonful came up full ❤️

Chewy intestine is best eaten with just a dip of salt! The intestine was cleanly prepped too, so it had no funky smell at all — just clean, light flavor.

Twirl in some thin wheat noodles and dunk them right into the broth for a good slurp~ then even a whole bowl of rice goes swimming in there too.

Moist sundae, tender lean meat, and chewy intestine — put it all together and you've basically got a mixed gukbap.

Piping hot gukbap topped with a bit of spicy kimchi, and just like that, all the alcohol from the night before completely melted away.

Some crunchy diced radish kimchi, some raw garlic on top, and of course, gukbap only tastes right with rice mixed in 🔥 There's clearly a reason customers have kept coming back to this Changwon Bukmyeon favorite, Myeongin Dwaeji Gukbap, for 10 years straight — next time I'll be back for suyuk (boiled pork) with a shot of soju!
