## In short

Suwolgyeonghwa is an ocean-view tea café right in front of Songjeong Beach in Haeundae, Busan, spread across the 3rd and 4th floors of its building. Visiting with a child on a cloudy late-August day that turned into a sudden downpour, the writer ordered Mellongmance, American-style coffee, and the Dalbodeure box, then spent an hour at a share table watching the beach train pass by. It was an especially satisfying spot for a train-loving kid.

On a short Busan trip in late August, I finally made it to Suwolgyeonghwa, a Songjeong café I'd wanted to visit for its beach train view!

## 3rd and 4th floors right by Songjeong Beach, no elevator

Suwolgyeonghwa, a Songjeong café in Busan, is an ocean-view café with Songjeong Beach in full view, located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the building haha. There's no elevator, so climbing all the way to the 4th floor was a bit of a workout? Pro tip: have your group grab a table on the 3rd floor and send just one person up to order on the 4th. There's parking below the building, and if it's full, there's paid street parking right in front! (No parking support.)

![Blue Ribbon Survey selection marker](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-beach-train-view-rainy-cafe/songjeong-beach-train-view-rainy-cafe-05-wmnv9-900.webp)

Whoa, it was selected for the Blue Ribbon Survey again in 2026, following last year! Don't panic if you get up there and there's no counter — the ordering spot is on the 4th floor haha.

There's also a nice photo zone between the 3rd and 4th floors for a certification shot! My family took one here too... 📸 🤍

## Ordering by kiosk — what we got

Grab the menu next to the counter and sit wherever's comfortable, then pick your order and pay at the kiosk haha. So many people were drinking ssanghwa-cha (traditional herbal tea) that I assumed it was a traditional-tea café concept, but Suwolgyeonghwa actually has a wide range of premium teas blended in-house! We ordered 'Mellongmance,' a tea capturing summer, American-style coffee (Americano), and the Dalbodeure box for dessert! ☺️

Behind the counter there's a space that felt almost like a showroom, so I had a look around~

Suwolgyeonghwa's premium tea collection, in Songjeong, comes in packaging fancy enough that they sell it separately too~ Leave a receipt review and you can get one at random, so don't miss the event! haha

## Six times an hour, the beach train goes by

Whoa... 👍🏻 this view is exactly why we came!! Every other time we've come to Busan I never managed to book the beach train in advance, but at this Songjeong café you can just keep watching trains pass by. Both directions are visible, so if you stay about an hour you can catch it six times!! My family's train lover was in a frenzy of excitement every single time it went by ㅜㅜ haha

![Beach train passing by outside the café window](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-beach-train-view-rainy-cafe/songjeong-beach-train-view-rainy-cafe-12-14htb-900.webp)

Cheers 🖤

An ocean-view café facing Songjeong Beach in Busan that actually felt more atmospheric because it was cloudy. It went from overcast to a sudden downpour — and honestly, isn't that exactly the romance of summer? ~🫧

### Mellongmance

Mellongmance 🍈 — a harmony of musk melon holding summer's coolness and sweetness, with oolong tea full of floral aroma. I couldn't quite picture it from the name alone, but the moment I took a sip I was amazed~ It's a tea that isn't overwhelming, yet it's full of sweet melon fragrance, and it made me curious about their other teas too haha

### Dalbodeure box

The Dalbodeure box arrives packed prettily, almost like a gift box(?). Injeolmi (sweet rice cake) skewer / black rice jujube bread / ganache monaka / whole red bean and butter monaka / gamtae mullet roe financier. It felt like a great choice since you get to try a variety of desserts! I was also curious about the iced matcha monaka sold as a single item 🤪

Eaten alongside coffee or tea, it was a perfect match! ♥

## Where's the best seat?

When we first arrived, even this share table was completely full, but after a while a spot opened up and I grabbed it right away~ Even away from the window, the floor-to-ceiling glass means you can enjoy the wide-open ocean view haha

![Share table seating in front of the floor-to-ceiling window](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-beach-train-view-rainy-cafe/songjeong-beach-train-view-rainy-cafe-19-mp0ee-900.webp)

A rare Busan train-view café where you can see both the sea and the beach train together. This window seat is popular on weekdays and weekends alike, and I got lucky when it happened to be free~! Lucky!

![Sea and beach train seen from the window seat](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-beach-train-view-rainy-cafe/songjeong-beach-train-view-rainy-cafe-20-1b6xc-900.webp)

There were tons of tables besides the 2nd-floor floor seating! Curtains divide the space into partitions, which was nice for spending private time with your group. There are windows everywhere too, so you can enjoy the ocean view from different angles 👍🏻 And when I visited, it was a bit quieter here than on the 4th floor~

## How was it with a kid?

I'd been curious about this Songjeong café, and visiting with my train-loving kid turned out even more satisfying than expected! There were lots of foreign guests too, and seeing staff respond in other languages was impressive.. 👏🏻 It's right in front of the beach, so it's great to stop by after Songjeong Beach, and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby too, making tea-then-a-meal a perfect little course haha. If you're looking for a Songjeong café or a Busan ocean-view, beach train-view café, give Suwolgyeonghwa a try 😊
