Two moms and three kids ordered Jeju black pork noodles, anchovy noodles, abalone bibim guksu (spicy mixed noodles) and boiled dumplings, and baby noodles were free for children up to 36 months. We're traveling with three kids, so I searched for kid-friendly restaurants around the eastern Jocheon area and found Myeonjumak — a pork noodle spot I stop by every time I visit Jeju. They use freshly butchered Jeju black pork, and even post the time the dombe pork (sliced boiled pork) finishes cooking, which is reassuring. They said if you tell them which cut you'd prefer — lean meat or fatty — they'll prepare it accordingly. Honestly, eating out with kids usually means a mess, noise, and a lot of worrying about other diners, but the owner's whole attitude at Myeonjumak just puts you at ease. The kkakdugi (diced radish kimchi) especially was so crunchy and well-seasoned that I refilled it about three times. The first pick was the anchovy noodles, but honestly, the real winner for both the moms and the kids was this pork noodle soup. You'd think older kids might ask for it to be cut smaller, but they happily munched it whole. Even the rice was special. I assumed it would be plain white rice, but one bowl gave me a 'wow' moment. Even after finishing all the noodles, they demolished the dumplings just as well — and honestly, as a mom, seeing the kids eat well is the most satisfying part of all.
