There are tables out on the terrace, so it looked like a great spot to enjoy your bread outside on a nice day.

They say they use organic flour and rice flour to make their bread, and maybe that's why the whole place feels focused on making bread that's chewy but easy on the stomach.

Step inside and it feels like your cozy neighborhood bakery. The faint smell of fresh-baked bread as soon as you walk in was wonderful, and with so many varieties it was fun to just wander and browse. I figured a bakery famous near Songdo Central Park would just have lots of bread, but Tomoru Bakery's drink menu was pretty solid too. Coffee, non-coffee drinks, teas, and ades were all on offer, so it looked like a great place to enjoy a drink alongside your bread.

There was also a nice variety of cakes and cookies, and the cakes piled high with fruit especially caught my eye. Made me think I'd like to pick one out for a special occasion next time. Of the breads I picked, five (everything except the pizza bread) could be cut, and they sliced them up nicely for eating. The staff arranged them neatly so the shapes wouldn't get messed up — a nice touch.

Kongtteok kongtteok was packed with beans and nuts, and the more I chewed the more the nutty flavor came through — the bread itself was moist and chewy enough that it could double as a meal.

### Chestnut loaf, rye fig bread and leaf pizza bread at Tomoru Bakery

The chestnut bread and rye fig bread each had big, generous chunks of chestnut and fig respectively — these too felt like breads where nothing was skimped on.

Biting into the chestnut in the chestnut bread, it broke apart softly and blended naturally with the plain bread — really good. The rye fig bread also had big dried figs that gave a sweet, chewy bite each time, and they softened what could otherwise be a heavy rye bread. The last one, leaf pizza bread, I ate before I could even get a proper photo — the sausage inside was plump and full of flavor, and it was delicious. If you like bread, it's worth picking up one of these alongside the others. Overall the texture across the board was moist and soft, easy to eat without feeling heavy, and I really liked how generously the real ingredients were used.

If you want to pick from a wide variety of bread around Songdo Central Park, or you're looking for a bakery that doesn't skimp on ingredients, I'd recommend Tomoru Bakery. There are so many kinds of bread that one visit doesn't feel like enough — I already want to come back and try other menu items next time. Personally I prefer bread that's moist and chewy with real ingredient flavor coming through, rather than something aggressively sweet or heavy, and this place suited my taste perfectly.
