It felt like the kind of place you'd keep the night going for a second or third round in Seomyeon, so it was perfect for a meetup with friends haha. Once inside, the whole place was decorated in dim lighting and black tones, giving it a hip feel. There were quite a lot of tables too, so it looked good for groups. What I liked most was the music haha. Trendy, upbeat songs that are popular right now kept playing, so the mood never dropped the whole time we were drinking! It's a better fit for a day when you want to chat and drink energetically with friends rather than a quiet bar. Most of the customers were in their 20s too, so the overall vibe was young and lively☺️ And the staff were really kind and cheerful! It felt kind of unique for a bar's basic side to be garlic bread haha. Yuumangju tends to give generous portions overall, so it seemed like a great place to visit with several people and share a variety of dishes! On top of the japchaeguk-su was a big slice of cheese, and plenty of kimchi was served alongside. The cheese added to the noodles' signature salty, rich flavor, making it a bit creamier and nuttier haha. Adding kimchi in between cut through the richness, so the combination worked really well. That day I had it with somaek, and the salty japchaeguk-su went really well with the cold somaek!
