This is masuri, back from an away game at Sajik Stadium in Busan. I had such a great time cheering on the team and then fully enjoyed the rest of my Busan trip the next day. Let me introduce you to Geumrang Hoetjip, where I stopped by.

If you searched for Geumrang Hoetjip or a Gwangalli sashimi restaurant and landed on my blog — just go, it's that generous. If you like banchan (side dishes) more than sashimi itself, you absolutely have to visit.

The moment I walked into Geumrang Hoetjip, the view through the wide picture window — Gwangalli's sea and Gwangan Bridge laid out in full — took my breath away. The private rooms and spacious table seating are neatly arranged, making it a great spot for family meals, dates, or work dinners too.

At night, Gwangan Bridge lights up, making it the perfect setting to enjoy sashimi with the night view.

## What arrives with the special course set

We ordered the course menu, which packs in a variety of seafood and sashimi. Dish after dish arrived, and the quality and quantity had our jaws dropping.

### The side dishes: sea squirt, abalone, live octopus and mulhoe

Fresh sea squirt, abalone, live octopus, and scallops, plus savory corn cheese, mulhoe (cold raw fish soup), and fried seafood — our chopsticks never rested even before the main sashimi arrived. Every piece of seafood looked fresh with zero fishy taste.

### The main platter: thick, chewy sashimi

The main sashimi came sliced thick, with an excellent chewy texture. Made up of seasonal fish like flounder, rockfish, and red seabream, each bite got more savory and clean the more we chewed. Dipped lightly in wasabi soy sauce, or wrapped in fresh lettuce with garlic and ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste), it was absolutely delicious.

### Finishing with spicy maeuntang (fish stew)

Just as we were wrapping up the sashimi, the maeuntang (spicy fish stew) arrived, its broth sharp and deeply flavorful — the perfect way to finish. The spiciness made it easy to polish off a whole bowl of rice, a perfect ending to the meal.
