And on top of that, the owner gave us sundae (blood sausage) and sujebi (hand-torn dough soup) on the house. ## Is the spicy broth good with soju? The broth of Yeongju Gopchang Jeongol's beef tripe hotpot was spicy and rich, making it a great pairing with drinks. A hotpot is really best eaten while it's still simmering. Haha. ## Free sundae and sujebi, added straight into the broth The sundae and sujebi we got for free at Yeongju Gopchang Jeongol were simmered right in the hotpot broth. At first I thought the small hotpot would be just right for two, but between the tripe, the sundae and sujebi, and the extra noodles, we ended up pretty full. ## When you want tripe hotpot in Masan Daetgeori, near Kyungnam University I'd definitely go back! That day at Yeongju Gopchang Jeongol, we ordered one small beef tripe hotpot for two, worked through the standard glass noodles, added in the free sundae and sujebi, and finished off with an extra noodle portion. It turned out more filling than I expected, so it worked well as a proper dinner, and the spicy broth also went great with a drink. I noticed pork seokgalbi (grilled short ribs) on the menu board too, so I'd like to try that next time.
