## In short

Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch is a Chinese restaurant on Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae, Busan. After a stop at Cheongsapo Station on the Haeundae Blueline Park, lunch here was ordered from the kiosk built into each table: mala cilantro jjamppong (spicy noodle soup), shrimp fried rice and a Zero Coke, served with jjachai, pickled radish and egg soup. The cilantro cut the richness of the mala broth and the shrimp fried rice came with jjajang sauce on the side, and both dishes satisfied.

## Where is Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch?

Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch is a Chinese restaurant in Jung-dong, Haeundae-gu, Busan, right on Dalmaji-gil near Haeundae Blueline Park and Haeundae Beach. It leans into authentic Chinese cooking with traditional techniques, so you can enjoy everything from jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles) to jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) and sweet and sour pork, and on top of that, the interior has this warm, upscale, exotic European feel that makes it cozy and comfortable — great for families, couples, friends, or small groups. Honestly one of my recommended Chinese restaurants in Haeundae!

This recommended Haeundae Chinese spot is 2 minutes by car from Cheongsapo Station on Haeundae Blueline Park and 8 minutes from Haeundae Beach, and it's close to X the Sky and NC Department Store Haeundae too, so it's really convenient to get to.

## Inside Bueokgan: interior and seating

The overall interior gives off a warm, upscale, exotic European feel that makes it cozy and comfortable — and there are plenty of tables, so it's great for families, couples, friends, or small groups to visit together!!

※ They also have high chairs for visitors with babies, so everyone can dine comfortably here!

## Menu and how the table kiosk ordering works

Since they focus on authentic Chinese cooking using traditional techniques, you can enjoy a wide range of dishes — jjajangmyeon, pai huang gua (smashed cucumber), poached-egg five-layer pork jjajang, spicy pepper jjajang, beef belly jjamppong, seafood jjamppong, mala cilantro jjamppong, shrimp fried rice, and more.

Every table has its own kiosk, so you can sit comfortably and pick out whatever you feel like eating, and since the kiosk screen shows photos of each menu item, you can actually see what you're ordering haha.

So since I was near Cheongsapo Station on Haeundae Blueline Park and stopped in for lunch, I ordered the mala cilantro jjamppong and shrimp fried rice and then looked around the place while waiting — the overall warm, upscale, exotic European interior made for a cozy, comfortable atmosphere, and rather than feeling like a loud, bustling Chinese restaurant, it had cute little props, liquor bottles, and furniture that felt straight out of a fancy furniture shop, giving off real local Chinese vibes!!

## Side dishes and drinks at Bueokgan

To go with the main dishes, they served jjachai and pickled radish, plus an egg soup that came together with the shrimp fried rice, and since good Chinese food needs a drink or a drink alongside it, I ordered a Zero Coke — and they even brought it with cool ice, which was a nice touch!!

## How was the mala cilantro jjamppong?

First up, the mala cilantro jjamppong at this recommended Haeundae Chinese restaurant is Bueokgan's own signature jjamppong, combining the distinct fragrance of cilantro with the spicy, numbing flavor of mala — it looked seriously appetizing.

![A bowl of mala cilantro jjamppong topped with cilantro](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-dalmaji-chinese-kiosk-lunch/haeundae-dalmaji-chinese-kiosk-lunch-17-130qn-900.webp)

The mala cilantro jjamppong was packed with ingredients — cilantro, meat, vegetables, all generously loaded in. Since I used to live in China and often added cilantro to mala tang, its fragrance really cut through the richness here and made for a clean, satisfying flavor!!

## Shrimp fried rice with jjajang sauce

The shrimp fried rice had plump shrimp cut into bite-sized pieces, stir-fried with egg rice over high heat, along with egg, carrot, green onion, onion, and other vegetables all coming together in harmony — well-fried, savory, and fluffy, with really good rice on its own.

On top of that, the plump, springy shrimp were already delicious on their own, but they also gave us jjajang sauce to go with it, so I got to enjoy the jjajang flavor too — tasty all around~

So if you're looking for a good Chinese restaurant on Dalmaji-gil near Haeundae Blueline Park and Haeundae Beach to enjoy with family, a partner, friends, or a small group, come check out this recommended Haeundae Chinese spot and enjoy everything one dish at a time!!
