## In short

Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is a Chinese restaurant in Haeundae, Busan, with sea views and family-friendly dishes. Our 6-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son happily ate the mild BUUK jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk, while the adults enjoyed abalone shrimp fried rice. Verdict: a satisfying family meal after Dongbaekseom or The Bay 101.

> Can you recommend a great jajangmyeon place in Marine City where the kids will eat well and we can enjoy a lovely view?

When traveling with children, restaurants take just as much careful choosing as sightseeing spots. Even if a place has a nice atmosphere, it is a problem if there is nothing the kids can eat; and even if the food is delicious, an inconvenient dining room can turn one meal into an endurance workout.

This time, while looking for a place to eat in Haeundae, I visited Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch. It was a great Marine City restaurant with ocean views, a clean and polished atmosphere, and one I wanted to introduce to families looking for somewhere to eat near Dongbaekseom.

## Bueokgan Chinese: location and atmosphere

Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is on the second floor of the Adelis shopping arcade in Marine City, Haeundae-gu, Busan. It is conveniently located for a meal after exploring around Dongbaekseom and The Bay 101, so it was easy to add to our itinerary.

![Dining spot near The Bay 101](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-buuk-jjajang-kids/haeundae-buuk-jjajang-kids-06-1jlyt-900.webp)

Once inside, it felt more like an atmospheric Chinese restaurant than an ordinary neighborhood Chinese eatery. The interior was clean and upscale, and the generous space between tables made sitting with two children feel easy.

The sea and Marine City scenery through the floor-to-ceiling windows were impressive, too. The children could look outside while the parents enjoyed a brief breather, so I recommend it to anyone looking for a Marine City restaurant with a view.

There are private rooms as well, making it seem suitable for bringing parents along or holding a family gathering. Parking support is available, which is convenient for families touring Busan by car, and the route works nicely with a Dongbaekseom visit.

## The mild jajangmyeon the kids loved

![BUUK jajangmyeon and ordered Chinese dishes](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-buuk-jjajang-kids/haeundae-buuk-jjajang-kids-10-17wad-900.webp)

We ordered BUUK jajangmyeon, black-vinegar pork loin tangsuyuk (sweet-and-sour fried pork), and abalone shrimp fried rice. The BUUK jajangmyeon was the dish that stood out most.

Unlike a typical jajang sauce, it was not intensely sweet or salty, and its mild flavor made it easy to eat with the noodles. It was not very oily either, and the seasoning was not overpowering, so it was great to share with the children.

Our 6-year-old daughter loved it, and even our 2-year-old son eagerly ate it once I cut the noodles short. When children eat well during a trip, there is nothing more welcome, is there?

Sometimes a child's empty bowl is more moving than a spectacular ocean view, and this was exactly one of those days. If you are looking for somewhere to eat in Haeundae with children, do try the BUUK jajangmyeon!!

## Crispy, tender tangsuyuk and abalone shrimp fried rice

The black-vinegar pork loin tangsuyuk was also more delicious than expected. Its coating was crisp, while the meat was moist and tender—the perfect example of crisp outside, tender inside.

For our 2-year-old, I cut it into bite-size pieces and gave him mostly the meat, and he really enjoyed it, munching away. The black-vinegar sauce had a deeper flavor than standard tangsuyuk sauce, and dipping separately kept the crisp texture longer.

![Abalone shrimp fried rice](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-buuk-jjajang-kids/haeundae-buuk-jjajang-kids-19-phrl9-900.webp)

The abalone shrimp fried rice felt a little pricey for one bowl, but it was generously filled with abalone, shrimp, and other ingredients. The rice grains were nicely separated, with the savory flavor of seafood shining through, so I was happy with the taste.

![Fried rice with abalone and shrimp](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-buuk-jjajang-kids/haeundae-buuk-jjajang-kids-20-1j7vk-966.webp)

I had actually ordered it for the children, but they had fallen for the jajangmyeon instead. Thanks to that, I ate almost all of the abalone shrimp fried rice and got an unexpected nourishing meal in Busan.

If you are looking for a Marine City restaurant that delivers both good food and a view, I recommend the combination of jajangmyeon, tangsuyuk, and abalone shrimp fried rice.

## A Busan family meal that pleased kids and parents

![Busan Chinese restaurant visit for a family meal](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-buuk-jjajang-kids/haeundae-buuk-jjajang-kids-22-xzxpf-900.webp)

Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch had it all: a Busan sea view, a clean atmosphere, and dishes that were easy for children to eat.

![Chinese meal with children](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-buuk-jjajang-kids/haeundae-buuk-jjajang-kids-23-1m84l-900.webp)

The jajangmyeon was mild and not salty, making it easy to share with the children, while the tangsuyuk was crisp outside and moist inside, so even our 2-year-old enjoyed it.

![Abalone shrimp fried rice with generous ingredients](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-buuk-jjajang-kids/haeundae-buuk-jjajang-kids-24-rj2gd-900.webp)

The abalone shrimp fried rice was a little more expensive, but it was generously packed with ingredients and filling enough for an adult. If you are looking for a Haeundae restaurant for a family meal after touring Dongbaekseom or The Bay 101, I would recommend it. The children filled up on jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk, while I got a nourishing helping of abalone fried rice—so everyone left happy.
