Videos of squishy-toy shopping at Cheonho Toy Street and Dongmyo Toy Street have been taking over my algorithm lately, so I couldn't resist and went on a Dongmyo date! Dongmyo has so much to see and eat, making it great for wandering around on a date. We arrived in Dongmyo during the day and did the essential course: browsing summer jade rings and vintage watches at the street stalls near Seoul Dasom Tourism High School, then vintage tableware at Seoul Folk Flea Market in Sinseol-dong! After that, we headed to the currently hot Dongmyo Toy Street. On the map, the toy street runs from the Season Building toward Changsin-dong's stamp-making street, and Big Tail is in one of the alleys between it all. If you're looking for things to do in Dongmyo, I recommend Big Tail! The performance schedule is posted on Instagram monthly. That day's performers were Heesang Band and Hoopee! Our top pick changed every time we turned a page, and we got complete decision paralysis hahaha. I absolutely love Midori Sour, but this was my first time trying a non-carbonated Midori cocktail! It was so refreshingly tangy with just the right strength... It came with toasted milk bread instead of baguette, and you really can't go wrong with milk bread... The shrimp wasn't overly salty either, making it perfect as a light cocktail snack. My boyfriend's second drink was a Revolver. It was an orange-and-Kahlúa cocktail, one I had never heard of before. It was nicely tangy and sweet, so I recommend this one too! My second drink was an Apple Pie. It was full of apple and cinnamon aromas, with a lit cinnamon stick in it. The live performance, of course. A show was scheduled on the day we visited, so we got to watch it while drinking cocktails. Since the performance schedule is posted monthly, I recommend checking it before you go. We came in at 7 p.m., when the break ended, and by the 8 p.m. showtime it was almost full except for the group seats. Because Big Tail is a café by day and a bar in the evening, it is also great for anyone exploring Dongmyo from daytime onward. Like me, you can browse squishy toys at Dongmyo Toy Street, enjoy Dongmyo's attractions, then have dinner or a cocktail here to take a break in the evening.
