Pizzeria O is famous as a waiting-list restaurant in Daehak-ro, Hyehwa, right? I heard back in college that Pizzeria O was a great pizza spot, but the wait was always so long I never made it. Back then I remember there being only about two locations, but searching now, they've opened quite a few branches around Seoul. Finally, my chance! Maybe that's why my expectations for the pizza were pretty high going in — apparently they use top-grade ingredients for the best possible flavor. If you're looking for a great pizza restaurant in Hapjeong, this seems like a place worth trying at least once. Looking at the menu, there was a really wide variety of pizzas. Along with plenty of pasta options, they also serve wine and cocktails, so it seemed like a good spot for a full meal or just a light drink. It was loaded with various cheeses like bufala, scamorza, and gorgonzola piccante, and came with honey on the side, just like a gorgonzola pizza. I usually love Italian pizzas with a strong cheese flavor, so I was especially looking forward to this one, and since it was fresh out of the oven, the cheese was melted so smoothly — it was really delicious. You get that rich, savory cheese flavor, and adding the honey brings in a sweetness that kept me reaching for more slices than I expected. If you like gorgonzola or cheese pizzas in general, this one will suit your taste. The second thing we ordered was the 'nduja pizza. 'Nduja is apparently a spicy Italian sausage. My boyfriend isn't great with spicy food, so I was a little worried when ordering, but he ended up enjoying it more than expected. To me, the spice level was just a bit spicier than Shin Ramyun — not intense like Buldak, but the heat added a nice kick to the pizza. Alternating bites with the cheese pizza kept things from feeling too heavy, and I kept going back for more. This was the first time I'd had such a chewy Italian pizza crust. We didn't want to just stick to pizza, so we added this! It came topped with a cute, jiggly poached egg. This was pretty much my first time really having proper al dente pasta, and the slightly firm bite of the noodles made it fun to eat. The rich, thick carbonara sauce combined with the noodles' firm texture, and it turned out to be less heavy than expected and really tasty. I ended up finishing every last bite, haha. I thought this was a pizza-only kind of place, but after trying the pasta too, I'd say it's also a solid choice if you're looking for a good pasta restaurant in Hapjeong. ## Is Pizzeria O Hapjeong Station a good date spot? Overall, Pizzeria O Hapjeong Station has a clean, pleasant atmosphere, it's close to Hapjeong Station, and you can enjoy both pizza and pasta, so it seems like a solid date spot. When looking for a blind date spot in Hapjeong, you usually want somewhere with a nice enough atmosphere where you can naturally chat over a meal, and this place fits that well. You can share one pizza between two people and order pasta on top of it, so the menu setup works nicely for two people on a date or blind date. If you're looking for a good restaurant near Hapjeong Station, or want both a great pizza place and a great pasta place in one spot, this is worth checking out.
