It seemed good for couples visiting together, but also fine for families or friends dining together, and the staff were really kind. We came with our baby, Potato, in a stroller, and they immediately pulled out one of the chairs from a table-for-four so we could fit the stroller in. Orders close at 3:30pm on weekdays and 4pm on weekends. ## Camel Orzo happy hour set, 43,800 won on weekdays after 1pm Since we came on a weekday, there was a separate Happy Hour Set orderable after 1pm. It's a choice of pasta + choice of pizza + choice of 2 drinks, for ₩43,800. It happened to be about 10 minutes before ordering opened, so since there were so many menu items, we browsed the menu board and chatted while we waited. Once the time came, we ordered easily at the kiosk. Our chosen items for the Happy Hour Set were: > Bottarga cuttlefish aglio olio / Fig Fresco (+₩7,500) / juice of the day (+₩2,000) / soda of the day (+₩2,000) That's what we ordered~~ The original price was ₩43,800, plus ₩11,500 in add-ons for a total of ₩55,300. On top of that — not part of the set, but I was curious about the truffle mushroom soup, so I added one, bringing the total to ₩60,300. Ordering the soup also came with a piece of bread~~ ## How does Camel Orzo's truffle mushroom soup taste? We had about 10 minutes left before we could order the Happy Hour Set, so while browsing the menu I got curious and ordered the truffle mushroom soup. It's described as a cream soup blending truffle with two kinds of mushrooms to boost the mushroom flavor, and I was so curious~~ It came with a piece of bread. I tried a spoonful first, and wow!! Really savory and smooth. Both my husband and I love mushrooms, so we both enjoyed it a lot. We used the bread to wipe the soup bowl completely clean — I think we might not have needed to wash the dishes lol. ## Bottarga cuttlefish aglio olio: what is the cuttlefish texture like? Next up is the Bottarga cuttlefish aglio olio. Since it's a dish with cuttlefish, I worried the texture might be chewy, but it was softer than expected and the sauce soaked in nicely, so it was tasty. I genuinely love pizza, and since it had been a while, I was even more excited going in lol. It seemed to have several kinds of cheese, and came with ground pistachio to eat alongside it. Having a refreshing drink alongside the pizza was nice — it left the mouth feeling clean. One note though — since the Fig Fresco has figs in it, it's better to eat it the same day rather than keeping the leftovers too long. ## Can you bring a baby to Camel Orzo? A stroller visit We visited with our baby Potato, and the meal went more smoothly than expected. We brought the stroller in, and staff found us a seat right away and pulled out a chair so we could fit it in. They were kind from the very start, and I really appreciated that. When dining out with a baby, good food matters, but so does whether there's room for the stroller and how the staff treat you. All spicy dishes are marked with 🌶, and they have baby chairs and baby dishes ready, so it seems like a really good place to visit with a child. ## Is Camel Orzo worth it? Overall verdict If you're looking for a nice-atmosphere Italian dining spot in Sangmu, Gwangju, or a brunch restaurant in Gwangju where you can have wood-fired pizza and pasta together, Camel Orzo is worth a visit. It's good for a date as a couple like us, and also fine as a family outing with a baby.
