Matkkaebi-gil in Yonggang-dong Raccoon Pizza Mapo Station branch is located on Matkkaebi-gil in Yonggang-dong. The Raccoon Pizza building itself has room for about 4 cars. But if those spots are full, there's street parking all along the restaurant row on Matkkaebi-gil, so you can park anywhere there's an open space! (Parking fees apply separately, of course...) We drive an EV so we got 50% off and parked without worrying too much. The street parking rate is ₩250 per 5 minutes. We visited a bit after 6pm on a weekday evening, and there were already plenty of people enjoying pizza with beer. If you're looking for a clean, well-kept bar near Mapo Station, Raccoon Pizza is a solid choice. Seeing the garlic dipping sauce that comes with it, I realized we'd actually ordered delivery from here before! Haha but eating it in the restaurant was so much better than delivery. The cheese waterfall pizza really did have cheese pouring down like a waterfall. There's so much cheese piled on that it doesn't feel lacking even without other toppings — the cheese itself has a satisfying chew haha. If you're looking for a place to eat out with kids near Mapo Station, Raccoon Pizza is a great option! And of course, we adults enjoyed it just as much. ## Why the dough tastes different: salted butter dough There are so many places doing pizza well these days, right? But I think for pizza to be truly delicious, the dough has to be good. This place had a kind of depth of flavor that felt different from other pizzas. Turns out why — Raccoon Pizza uses a salted butter dough made in-house with Cleopatra salt, an Egyptian rock salt, and top-grade butter. That's probably why even a pizza with just cheese and no other toppings still had so much flavor.
