## In short

Euljiro Yeontan Gui Luone City Branch is a charcoal-grill pork restaurant in Luone City near Gajeong Station in Seohae, Incheon, where pork, clams and jumbo shrimp all go straight onto the briquette grill. A couple started with one geun (600g) of pork for 38,000 won, worked through 800g in total plus two servings of seafood kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup), and picked their own banchan and sauces from the self-serve bar. Since moving to Cheongna, I went out looking for a meat restaurant haha. Today's spot is 'Euljiro Yeontan Gui Luone City Branch,' located near Gajeong Station!

It's a bit of a distance from where I live in Cheongna, so we drove over, and since there are plenty of spots in the building's basement parking lot, it's a good option for anyone coming by car.

## Where is Euljiro Yeontan Gui Luone City Branch, and when is it open?

With fall approaching, I'm craving some salt-grilled jumbo shrimp. Besides pork, this place lets you grill all sorts of things over charcoal, from clams to shrimp.

They even have pen shell clams — a good pick if you want both meat and seafood in one meal.

## Saturday night at Euljiro Yeontan Gui: nearly full, with a live tank by the door

When we walked into Euljiro Yeontan Gui Luone City Branch on Saturday evening, it was already nearly full. There's a fish tank near the entrance, and the door itself is pretty classic-looking lol. Must be a local favorite. Luckily one table was open with no wait, so we sat right down.

![Gochujang pork belly and seasoned beef skirt on the menu](https://img.superchart.com/images/gajeong-station-charcoal-grill-seafood-kalguksu/gajeong-station-charcoal-grill-seafood-kalguksu-05-exq0f-m-966.webp)

Ugh ;; I really should have tried the gochujang pork belly and the seasoned beef skirt, but we were too full and missed out. That's a shame — I'll take them on next time.

Seriously packed lol. So many people. It was Saturday evening, but it also seems like this place is already a local favorite.

## One geun of pork, 600g for 38,000 won, ordered by the 100g

At Euljiro Yeontan Gui Luone City Branch, you sit down and order through a tablet at the table. What we ordered was one geun (600g) of pork for 38,000 won. Here, the pork is all sold in 100g units, so it's easy to order a bit of this and that, and adding more meat doesn't feel like a big commitment — I really like that!! (Your first order needs to be at least 300g.)

## What banchan and self-serve bar sauces come with the pork?

Here's the basic banchan (side dish) setup: bean sprouts, kimchi, onion sauce, various pastes, and lettuce — everything you'd need is already there.

My husband and I really love kimchi and garlic with our meat, so we grabbed a generous extra handful lol.

At the self-serve bar there are even more banchan waiting, with a much wider variety!!

There's also a broader lineup of sauces here — fermented shrimp sauce, salt, sesame oil, soybean powder, and more.

You can also see pickled vegetables that weren't in the basic set, plus peppers, pineapple, and sliced radish.

My picks were the sesame-oil salt sauce and the fermented shrimp sauce. Hehehehe.

## The six-cut pork platter and how to handle the charcoal heat

Next up, our one geun of pork arrived. The color looks really good. It's made up of pork neck, pork jowl, pork belly, pork neck again, skirt meat, and complimentary skin — and for 38,000 won a geun, the price is honestly so reasonable ;;

It sizzles away on the charcoal. I'm drooling. You can practically hear my meat-loving husband swallowing from here.

I took this photo myself, but doesn't it look amazing? They even sliced up complimentary mushrooms for us, and once the garlic is grilled too it all looks seriously appetizing.

My personal grilling tip: if the heat seems weak, lay down a fattier cut (i.e. pork jowl) to boost it.

## Why the seafood kalguksu is the order you can't skip

This place also does a lot of seafood, so I couldn't resist and ordered the seafood kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup). And wow, that was such a good call bbb.

![Seafood kalguksu topped with jumbo shrimp and clams](https://img.superchart.com/images/gajeong-station-charcoal-grill-seafood-kalguksu/gajeong-station-charcoal-grill-seafood-kalguksu-21-zfgjl-966.webp)

Two jumbo shrimp, scallops, hard clams, and dried pollack — the broth was so refreshingly clean and delicious.

![Kalguksu broth filled with scallops and hard clams](https://img.superchart.com/images/gajeong-station-charcoal-grill-seafood-kalguksu/gajeong-station-charcoal-grill-seafood-kalguksu-22-9vwj6-966.webp)

The noodles were cooked just right. Normally I'm not a fan of how starchy and soupy kalguksu broth can get, but here the clean, briny flavor of the seafood won out completely.

![Empty bowl of seafood kalguksu after finishing the noodles](https://img.superchart.com/images/gajeong-station-charcoal-grill-seafood-kalguksu/gajeong-station-charcoal-grill-seafood-kalguksu-23-iispi-966.webp)

We basically demolished it. Actually, after we ordered the kalguksu, the table next to us ordered one too. Skipping this dish should honestly be a crime. Between us we ate 800g of pork and two servings of kalguksu — pretty impressive if I do say so myself ;;
