While looking for dinner during a family trip to Jecheon, we ended up at Deojinji, a restaurant near Resom Forest. With a 5-year-old and a 7-year-old in tow, two things matter a lot to me: the kids actually eating well, and the parents being able to eat comfortably too. Deojinji turned out to check both boxes — the meat comes out already grilled, and we got to eat beef galbi, pork galbi, and tteokgalbi all in one meal. Really solid setup for a family outing.

## Inside Deojinji Resom Baegun: seating, rooms and a room full of families

Deojinji Resom Baegun's dining room was spacious and comfortable, and once inside, it was clear that a lot of families come here. Some had little kids like ours, others had grandparents along.

There were good spots for group seating along with private rooms available separately, so it seemed like a solid option for multiple families visiting together. They also had kid chairs, so seating a toddler or young child was no problem.

## What comes in Set C at 69,000 won, and the à la carte prices

We ordered Set C for 69,000 won — LA-style beef galbi for one, Damyang-style pork galbi for one, and 220g of Korean pork tteokgalbi. We'd been snacking a lot throughout the trip, so we kept it modest.

Set C lets you try three kinds at once, so it seemed like a good order even for two people. And since it includes tteokgalbi, it also covers something the kids would eat, which was handy for us.

When you take kids to a Korean BBQ place, the parents are basically working before they even taste anything — haha. Putting meat on the grill, flipping it, cutting it, cooling it down on the kids' plates. Before you know it, mom and dad's food is always last. But at Deojinji, the meat comes out fully grilled already. I was so happy about this, honestly — hahaha.

It's an open kitchen, so you can see the meat being grilled inside. At the table, you don't have to worry about grilling at all — you just eat when it arrives. Even better, they set the grilled meat on a hot stone plate so it stays warm.

The beef galbi was good, the pork galbi was good, the tteokgalbi was good — it was hard to pick just one favorite. So honestly, getting to try all three felt like the biggest perk.

## Even our 5-year-old ate the galbi clean off the bone

And the real taste test came from our own 5-year-old — hahaha.

I tried to cut the meat for her, but she insisted on grabbing the bone and eating it herself — hahahaha. In a mom's eyes, that's the most reliable review there is. When the kids eat well, a restaurant's score on a family trip shoots way up.

Our 7-year-old ate well too, and having tteokgalbi on the menu meant even younger kids would have something easy to eat without worry.

Soy crab, spicy marinated crab, bubbling cheonggukjang, and warm rice all came out together, filling the whole table.

You can order more crab for an extra charge, and honestly it was tastier than I expected. Neither the soy crab nor the spicy version had much of a fishy taste, and they weren't overly salty or spicy. A bite of meat, a bite of crab, a bite of rice — the combination worked really well.

## The free puffed rice snack corner the kids loved

And right at the entrance, something instantly caught the kids' eyes — a puffed rice snack corner.

There was a good variety, nice for snacking while waiting or as dessert after the meal. This ended up playing a bigger role than I expected in this particular dinner — haha. Since we're always tending to the kids' meals first, we parents end up eating last, and the kids keep trying to get up saying they're done. This time, we gave them the puffed rice snacks for dessert, and they stayed happily seated until we finished eating. Dessert for the kids, a peaceful ending for the parents — haha.

## Deojinji's receipt review event is worth checking

One more thing I found interesting — Deojinji runs a shuttle service to Forest Resom. If you're staying at Resom Forest and want to have meat and a drink for dinner, this could come in really handy. Shuttle times and details can change day to day, so if you're planning to use it, it's best to check with the restaurant first.

## Driving to Deojinji Resom Baegun and parking

We drove, and since the restaurant has plenty of parking on site, there was no hassle about it at all. Easy parking matters more than you'd think on a family trip, so this was one more comfortable detail.

## Is Deojinji worth it for a family meal near Resom Forest?

When traveling with kids, picking a restaurant based on taste alone doesn't really cut it anymore. You end up considering the kids' menu, kid chairs, parking, how spacious the place is, and how comfortably the parents can actually eat — all at once. Deojinji in Jecheon really did have a lot of family customers, and being able to try beef galbi, pork galbi, and tteokgalbi all at once was genuinely great. Best of all, not having to grill the meat ourselves made it a truly easy meal for our family with a 5- and 7-year-old.
