## Solo Indian curry in front of Songdo Central Park

Today’s story is about doing a proper solo Indian curry meal, haha. The place I visited was Bombay Broy Songdo, right in front of Songdo Central Park. I already love curry and naan, and you know those days when you suddenly crave a rich Indian curry so badly? Haha. I hesitated a little about whether it would be okay to eat alone, but once I got there, there were other solo diners too, so it did not feel awkward at all.

To give you the conclusion first... solo dining success. I ordered butter chicken, palak paneer, and butter naan, then polished it all off by myself, haha.

Ta-da—let me show you the food first, then I’ll start the review~~

## Parking in Building C and a spot in front of Central Park

This is an Indian restaurant right in front of Central Park, with a great view too. Park in Building C, come up, and just follow the red arrows on the ceiling!! It is on the outer side facing Central Park~~ Parking around Central Park can be stressful on weekends, so being able to use the building parking while dining is definitely convenient, haha.

Bombay Broy Songdo is directly across from Central Park, so the location is great. From the terrace side, you can see Central Park and Songdo’s distinctive high-rise skyline, so I thought it would be lovely to eat outside on a nice day. I had also seen reviews saying the view reaches toward Sheraton and Oakwood, and it really does feel more like having a meal at Songdo Central Park than eating inside an ordinary shopping complex.

The Indian atmosphere starts right outside! They also have good-value weekday lunch sets~~

## An interior that feels like India

The moment I walked in, the atmosphere was totally Indian-style, haha. It was much more exotic than I expected, with wood-toned furniture, Indian-looking decor, and a subtle scent of spices. It did not feel like a place serving Korean-style curry—it felt like, “Today I really came out for Indian food!” Haha.

And through the open kitchen, I could see Indian chefs cooking directly. Reviews also said there were Indian staff in both the kitchen and dining room, and that the food seemed to be prepared by local chefs. Put all of that together and the atmosphere feels even more authentic, haha. Like being in India!!

## Two curries and butter naan for one

There were so many menu options that I had quite a hard time choosing, but I always end up picking the dishes Korean diners choose most often, haha. Usually the proper solo move is to order just one curry, but... I was hungry ^^ I decisively ordered butter chicken, palak paneer, and butter naan. Yay~~ But the portions were way too big for what I expected...? I nearly died, haha.

### Soft, creamy butter chicken

The first curry I ordered that day was butter chicken! This is one of those dishes that is really hard to go wrong with at an Indian curry restaurant, haha. It is one of Bombay Broy’s signature dishes too, and from the first bite I was like... ah, so delicious, haha.

![Creamy butter chicken curry](https://img.superchart.com/images/songdo-indian-curry-solo-meal/songdo-indian-curry-solo-meal-17-l3xvb-966.webp)

It had the soft, creamy character that makes butter chicken what it is. The subtle tang of the tomato base blends with the rich, nutty flavor of butter and cream, making it deeply flavorful without being aggressively spicy. So even if intense-spiced Indian curry feels intimidating, I think butter chicken would be quite easy to enjoy.

The chicken in the curry went especially well with the sauce. With tender chicken coated generously in thick, rich curry, wrapped up in naan... game over, haha.

### Nutty, clean-tasting palak paneer

And then there was the palak paneer, which I personally loved that day! Palak paneer is a curry made with spinach and fresh cottage cheese~~ It is seriously one of my favorite flavors ㅜㅜ

![Palak paneer with spinach and paneer](https://img.superchart.com/images/songdo-indian-curry-solo-meal/songdo-indian-curry-solo-meal-20-1hsyc-966.webp)

Looking at the deep green color, you might think, “Is this going to taste too healthy...? Haha,” but once you eat it, it is much richer and nuttier than expected. The smooth flavor of finely blended spinach is lifted gently by spices, while the paneer cheese pieces throughout keep the taste mild and nutty.

![Deep green palak paneer curry](https://img.superchart.com/images/songdo-indian-curry-solo-meal/songdo-indian-curry-solo-meal-21-10mwk-966.webp)

Paneer is not like the stretchy cheese we commonly eat. It is milder and firmer, but still soft to bite through, and it paired beautifully with the rich spinach curry.

![Curry with mild paneer cheese](https://img.superchart.com/images/songdo-indian-curry-solo-meal/songdo-indian-curry-solo-meal-22-19zye-966.webp)

While the butter chicken is sweetish, creamy, and rich, the palak paneer has a nuttier, fragrant, slightly cleaner appeal. Alternating between the two was such a good combination.

### Just add the butter naan, haha

And if you ordered curry, you cannot skip naan. I ordered butter naan, and it was so good too. It was naan baked in a tandoor oven with butter added; when you pull it apart warm with your hands, the inside is chewy while the outside has lightly charred spots for a nice bite. Add that distinctive buttery aroma, and honestly, it is delicious even when you eat the naan by itself, haha.

But the real move is tearing a long piece of butter naan, dunking it deeply into the butter chicken... one bite. Then tearing off another piece of naan, piling it high with palak paneer, and taking another bite. Eat like that and the naan disappears at an unbelievable speed, hahaha.

## A solo-dining triumph with two full dishes

I ordered two dishes for a solo meal and did it properly, haha. Honestly, once I had butter chicken, palak paneer, and butter naan spread out in front of me, the table looked like it was set for two people, haha. But I have no regrets. If anything, I think I would have been disappointed with only one curry.

When the butter chicken started to feel a little rich and creamy, one bite of palak paneer completely changed the mood. Then I would go back to the butter chicken, which was sweetish and nutty and delicious again... I alternated between them like I was in battle, haha.

Overall, Bombay Broy Songdo was satisfying not just for the food but for the atmosphere too. It is right in front of Songdo Central Park, and with the Indian-style interior and local chefs cooking directly, it felt less like simply eating one curry meal and more like taking a quick trip for food from another country.

Especially, the butter chicken + palak paneer + butter naan combination I had was a huge success, haha. The soft, rich butter chicken was delicious; the nutty, appealing palak paneer was great; and the warm butter naan for soaking up lots of curry was flawless too. Next time, I want to try another type of curry and tandoori chicken. I absolutely want to return!

When you are craving something a little different from the usual in Songdo, and want proper Indian curry while looking at Central Park, I recommend Bombay Broy :) Next time too, I plan to tear off big pieces of naan and dunk them deeply into curry, haha.
