## In short

Hanmaeum Butcher Restaurant Uijeongbu Gosan District Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Uijeongbu's Gosan district where you can bring your dog into a private room to grill a beef-and-pork set. Booking ahead by phone or Naver Reservation gets you the room, and the beef-one-portion-plus-pork-half-portion set at ₩100,900 covers cuts from chadolbagi flap to woo samgyeop and pork jowl. In a city where dog-friendly Korean restaurants are hard to find, this was a comfortable pick for both owner and dog.

## Finding a dog-friendly Korean restaurant in Uijeongbu

My family home is in Uijeongbu, so I visit every couple of months, and finding a dog-friendly restaurant there is never easy. Most dog-friendly places are brunch spots or Western-style cafés — Korean food or anything else is hard to come by. And even when a place is dog-friendly, you often end up in an annex building or an outdoor table, a completely different setup from the main dining room.

Then I found a precious gem — a Korean BBQ restaurant: ✅ Hanmaeum Butcher Restaurant Uijeongbu Gosan District Branch. It's a dog-friendly favorite in Uijeongbu, and if you call ahead or book on Naver Reservation, they'll seat you in a private room. So much easier for the owner, and so much better for the dog than being in a strange environment 💓

### Parking and hours

There's parking down to basement level 3 inside the building. Even visiting during weekend evening peak time, I could park on B2. The parking entrance is right next to 60 Gyae Chicken.

Open daily 16:00–23:00, last order 22:00.

## Choosing the menu — so many sets to pick from

There are a ton of set menus here. Since they handle both beef and pork, you can order full or half portions of either à la carte too. There's even a yukhoe (raw beef) set, so picking was genuinely hard. A happy kind of dilemma ★彡

À la carte items start from 2 servings. There are also meal-only options like hanwoo yukhoe bibimbap ₩10,000, yukgaejang ₩10,000, and pork gukbap ₩10,000 — any one of these would be a full meal on its own. There's a separate kids' menu too.

Good side dishes to pair with your meal: mul naengmyeon (cold noodles in broth) ₩6,000 / bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles) ₩6,000 / dad's doenjang rice ₩3,000 / mom's fried rice ₩6,000 / steamed egg ₩5,000 — perfect for dessert too ̗̀ ♥ˎˊ:

Beef one portion + pork half portion, ₩100,900. Ordering the set is ₩7,000 cheaper than ordering everything separately.

![Sign describing the beef-one-portion pork-half-portion set](https://img.superchart.com/images/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room-05-169g4-966.webp)

Beef, one portion, 600g — jin galbisal, galbisal, bone galbi, flap meat, woo samgyeop. Pork, half portion, 500g — samgyeopsal, ogyeopsal, neck, jowl, gabrisal.

## Basic side dishes and dad's doenjang rice

A clean basic side dish spread with just what you need. The shredded scallions and dressed lettuce salad were especially good.

And a doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) that comes standard with the meal.

![Doenjang jjigae served as a standard side](https://img.superchart.com/images/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room-09-10d96-966.webp)

Order the dad's doenjang rice for ₩3,000 and they throw in a bowl of rice and chadolbagi with egg on top. The seasoning was spot on — savory, not bland, really good.

Yukhoe bibimbap ₩10,000. I wanted raw yukhoe too, but with all that meat coming, I went for the bibimbap version instead. It came together so cleanly it actually paired even better with the grilled meat ⋆◡̎⋆

## In the room with the dog

Gomi in my sister's arms, Gomi in my mom's arms. So happy 🌸

Hogging all of mom's love. Ha, exactly ☁ミ

The food arrived, but everyone was too busy fussing over Gomi after not seeing her in a while — food took a back seat.

Excuse me, ma'am, Gomi's eyes are practically closed from happiness Ꙭ̯

![Beef flap meat on the grill](https://img.superchart.com/images/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room-13-ii7v5-966.webp)

## From beef to pork

We grilled the beef first, starting with the flap meat. So good it just melts, melts away. The woo samgyeop and galbisal were great too.

![Grilled woo samgyeop with shredded scallions](https://img.superchart.com/images/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room-14-1lvhi-966.webp)

You've got to eat woo samgyeop fast. It goes great with shredded scallions too, and it's amazing dipped in just salt ♪♫

![Raw samgyeopsal and ogyeopsal side by side for comparison](https://img.superchart.com/images/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room-15-14sbs-966.webp)

Then it's pork's turn — samgyeopsal, of course. You can tell samgyeopsal and ogyeopsal apart by whether the skin is still on. Both were delicious.

![Samgyeopsal and ogyeopsal grilling on the pan](https://img.superchart.com/images/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room-16-8r4bl-966.webp)

We ate the samgyeopsal and ogyeopsal first, then...

![Grilled pork jowl, gabrisal, and neck meat](https://img.superchart.com/images/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room-17-17h47-966.webp)

...moved on to jowl, gabrisal, and neck meat. With beef, the first bite is the best; with pork, you never get tired of it and just keep eating. Ordering the set meant we got to try so many different cuts — such a good meal.

### Pork skin, pressed with a grater

✅ The pork skin (kkeopdegi) was provided in exchange for a Naver photo review. They give you a metal grater to press down on it — its weight presses the skin flat, so it comes out even chewier and better grilled 💚ྀི

![Mul naengmyeon ordered for dessert](https://img.superchart.com/images/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room-22-krfzp-966.webp)

Mul naengmyeon ₩6,000. A perfect way to finish the meal. Order one and share it bite by bite — just right.

## Self-serve bar and kids' zone

![Self-serve bar with lettuce and perilla leaves](https://img.superchart.com/images/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room-23-1f93z-966.webp)

The self-serve bar had lettuce and perilla leaves. It was so crowded we didn't end up going over, but wrapping the pork in lettuce would have been even better.

![Self-serve bar corner stocked with seaweed](https://img.superchart.com/images/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room/uijeongbu-gosan-pet-friendly-korean-bbq-room-24-w6lnq-966.webp)

There's also seaweed at the self-serve bar, so kids should be able to eat their rice well too. Next to the bar you can see huge hanging cuts of meat being sliced fresh right in front of you 👌 There's a kids' zone too, and it's big enough that pretty much all the children were playing there the whole time.

Officially confirmed: a dog-friendly favorite in Uijeongbu 🩷ྀི
