They also have a thank-you-for-waiting event: wait 30 minutes or less and you get one side dish per table, while the item offered changes a little depending on the wait time. On the day I visited, there were quite a few family gatherings and group reservations too. The large windows were lovely because you could see the view outside. And best of all, there is a playroom for children! From barbecue accompaniments and all kinds of sauces to Korean food, Western food, sundae (Korean blood sausage), rice balls, and bread, it almost felt like a Korean buffet. There is not only marinated galbi and samgyeopsal (pork belly), but even spicy dakgalbi (stir-fried chicken). Hangang ramen and ice cream, both essential for dessert! The ice cream had a much richer, sweeter vanilla flavor than the soft-serve cone at Lotteria. How can the ice cream even be good at a barbecue restaurant? Drinks are unlimited with a set order too. ## We ordered Set B from sets A, B, C, and D ![Set menus from A through D](https://img.superchart.com/images/cheongna-eel-beef-buffet-jangsodam/cheongna-eel-beef-buffet-jangsodam-17-34yej-966.webp) There are individual dishes as well as set menus, and the contents vary a little across sets A, B, C, and D. Sets A and B include grilled eel, while sets C and D do not. The priciest Set A includes six cuts of beef, but ₩39,000 per person seems like a reasonable price. Maybe because it was domestic Japanese eel, but you could immediately see that it was large and fresh. It had been a while since I had eaten eel, and it cooked up with crisp skin and tender flesh. I tried the first bite without sauce, and it was soft and clean-tasting. The eel was so big that the meat was incredibly plump. Wrapped with pickled perilla leaves, it was an excellent combination. We refilled once for eel and twice for sirloin, three refills total, and somehow I never got tired of the eel until the very end. Set B includes one free serving, and Set A also comes with soy-marinated crab. As soon as I tried the spicy marinated crab, I went straight for rice. The fat ratio varied a little with each refill, and the fattier pieces were much richer and more tender. The sirloin pieces were a pretty good size too, right~? Eel followed by beef—where else can you have such a luxurious meal? It was tender and full of juices, and it went so well with the pickled onions. I think I brought back four plates of pickled onions alone, haha.. Finally, we wrapped up the meal properly with dessert! Before eating, I thought we would easily be here for at least 2 hours—and we really did keep eating for 2 hours. We finished the few remaining pieces of beef and some Hangang ramen, then refreshed our mouths with ice cream ( ᵘ ᵕ ᵘ ⁎) It is great that you can enjoy grilled eel and beef together, and that you can also sample such a variety of foods at the self-service bar. Dogs are welcome too!
