I went to Yangsimso last time for the marinated pork galbi, and it was so good I got curious about their other meats! So I went back again — this time I wanted to try something different from last time. The marinated pork galbi was great, but I was curious about the other recommended menu items too!

## Inside Yangsimso: table seats, private rooms and the self-serve corner

Inside Yangsimso Ansan Gojan Branch, the table seating and private room seating are in separate spaces. There was a group of customers when I visited, so it seems like a good place for a work dinner or a gathering too! The place is nice and clean, there's a desk right at the entrance, and there's a self-serve side-dish corner near the kitchen~ If you want more of any side dish, you just go grab it yourself!

## Yangsimso menu prices, plus new raw pork neck and pork belly

The menu includes the Yangsimso Special Set, galbisal, flower galbi, LA galbi, and pork galbi, plus set meals that come with either mul naengmyeon or bibim naengmyeon and meat, as well as a lunch special. I noticed raw pork neck (mokssal) and raw pork belly (samgyeopsal) have been added! So now you can enjoy pork in all kinds of ways too. Still, the best menu items here are the pork galbi, galbisal, and LA galbi!

I should've snapped a photo of the meat the moment it arrived, but I got too excited and put it straight on the grill before taking the picture, hahaㅠ On the left is the raw galbi, on the right the marinated galbi. Ordering the half-and-half got us 6 pieces of each.

This is how the basic side dishes were set up. The sauces I loved so much last time are back! They really bring out the flavor of the meat~

When you order a Yangsimso set, yukhoe and chadol doenjang jjigae come included for free. Still delicious! You have to get a bowl of rice with it. Meat grilled over charcoal fire tastes the absolute best👍 Just be careful — they warn that when the fire's on, the table legs underneath can get hot~

## Raw LA galbi vs marinated LA galbi: which tastes better?

Having tried both the marinated and the raw LA galbi, the raw LA galbi was tastier. The meat itself is so good you don't even need the marinade~ Definitely order the raw LA galbi! The portion in the set was just right for two people.

Finally, time to grill~ Look at that color on the meat! I get it now why LA galbi is the best menu item here. The smell as it grilled was amazing too. Watching it cook just built the anticipation. The meat is truly tender and delicious!

We ate it dipped in salt, and also with the naengmyeon, and enjoyed every bit of it. Again the sauces were seriously good — I loved the raw LA galbi with the plain salt, while my sibling was really into the shiitake mushroom sauce.

At the entrance where you pay on your way out, there's a thoughtful little corner with candy, floss, and mouthwash.👍 Once again~ we finished off the meat, the doenjang jjigae, and the naengmyeon completely, down to the last bite!

## Tips for a weekend dinner at Yangsimso in Gojan-dong, Ansan

I went on a weekend evening, and customers kept coming in steadily. For weekend dinners, it might be a good idea to book ahead! Yangsimso Ansan Gojan Branch, where you can enjoy both pork and beef, would be great with family, friends, or coworkers. I keep thinking about that raw LA galbi flavor, so I'm pretty sure my family and I will be back again soon. Another restaurant added to my n-th-visit list!
