While hunting for good salt bread and baked goods in Songdo, I stopped by Cafe Cozy Bear and figured I'd share it.

If you love freshly baked bread, this is a place you don't want to skip.

## Location and parking

160-19 Haedoji-ro, 1F, 101–102, Karis Plaza, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, South Korea. It's near Songdo Sikjaemart, so it wasn't hard to find. Parking is available in the building too, which made it easy to visit by car.

## A cozy Songdo bakery vibe

Walking in, the first thing that caught my eye was the cute bear character, haha. The overall vibe was clean but cozy, great for stopping by for bread and coffee. And the moment I stepped in, that nutty butter smell hit me! That's the smell that always puts me in a good mood at a bakery.

What caught my eye most at Cafe Cozy Bear was, of course, the salt bread — plain, potato, garlic, castella, and mugwort versions.

### When does the salt bread come out?

Salt bread is baked twice a day, at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. If you want to try it fresh out of the oven, timing your visit around those hours is worth it.

That said, each day's production is limited, so if you show up late, the menu item you want might already be gone.

I picked the plain salt bread and the Cozy Latte, but next time I'd like to try the potato or mugwort red bean versions too.

## Careful about ingredients too

They use French fermented butter and French flour, and top it with Guérande sea salt. Fillings are also made in-house, which gave me the sense that they put real care into every piece of bread.

## How does the plain salt bread taste?

Splitting the salt bread in half, the inside was moist with visible layers. The outside was crisp and the inside chewy, with the nutty butter flavor and salty seasoning making it perfect with coffee. Personally, I thought it tasted best warm.

## The bear shopping bag — so cute!

Off to one side, they had a cute bear-themed package ready too. It's fine as a simple snack, but picking out a few pieces to wrap up as a gift would also be nice.

The bread lineup isn't huge, but if you like salt bread, it's worth a visit at least once. Above all, the owner was really kind when I visited, which made for a pleasant stay.

Since the salt bread is baked at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., if you like freshly baked bread, it's worth timing your visit around those hours.

Next time I visit, I want to try the other salt bread flavors I missed this time. If you're looking for a salt bread spot or bakery café in Songdo, give Cafe Cozy Bear a try.
