This time, I went to Hongdae Gureume Incheon Nonhyeon Branch, a great spot in Incheon Nonhyeon. I tried everything from the Salmon Flower Double Sake-don set to cheese katsu: the salmon was tender, and the cheese katsu I ordered on the side was full of cheese with a subtle smoky char, so I left feeling properly full. The cheese katsu especially felt like a must-order menu item.

It is right in the middle of the restaurant alley by Incheon Nonhyeon Station, so it is easy to reach by public transportation. It is also close to Exit 1 of Incheon Nonhyeon Station on the Suin–Bundang Line, making it good for visitors on foot, while the shopping complex's underground parking makes driving convenient too.

It is also close to Soraepogu Station and Neulsolgil Park Sheep Ranch, so it is in a decent location for lunch or dinner after a weekend outing or as part of a date in Incheon Nonhyeon-dong.

The restaurant had an overall clean, comfortable atmosphere. The tables were spaced appropriately, making it nice for couples, and it did not feel awkward to come alone either.

I visited alone, but the staff welcomed me kindly, so I happily settled into my seat. It is an easygoing place for a meal overall, so people looking for an Incheon date restaurant should be able to visit comfortably too.

After some deliberation, I ordered a salmon rice-bowl set with a side dish.

I chose the filling salmon rice-bowl set as my main and added two pieces of cheese katsu on the side. Honestly, I thought the cheese katsu would just be a small taste, but it raised my satisfaction with the meal by 200%, haha. I absolutely recommend ordering it when you look at the menu.

## How the Salmon Flower Double Sake-don and cheese katsu tasted

The Salmon Flower Double Sake-don was pretty from the start. The salmon was arranged like a flower, so it looked lovely and the portion was generous too.

Look at the thickness of that salmon—it is crazy. Underneath was sushi rice seasoned with vinegar, and anyone who likes salmon should be happy with this.

The set also came with a salad and a hot mini soup dish, so it was quite filling as a full adult meal and would make a good Incheon Nonhyeon-dong lunch option.

At ₩6,900 for two pieces, I thought of it as just a side dish, but tasting it changed my mind. First, its subtle smoky char really whets the appetite.

With one bite, the smoky flavor comes first, followed by a stretch of cheese—and there is seriously so much cheese. There were only two pieces, but they were surprisingly filling! The salmon bowl alone might have felt a little lacking, but with the cheese katsu, the amount of food was just right.

Personally, I would recommend the Salmon Flower Double Sake-don plus cheese katsu combination. Alternating it with the salmon bowl kept things from becoming boring, since the tender salmon and the nutty, smoky cheese katsu offered different flavors.

With only two pieces, it is easy to add without feeling like too much, yet it is packed with cheese and has that subtle smoky char—more satisfying than a typical side dish! If you like salmon, order the Salmon Flower Double Sake-don; if you like donkatsu and cheese, make sure to order the cheese katsu alongside it.

Hongdae Gureume was good not only for dining alone but also for meals with friends or a partner, and its varied menu makes it easy to choose according to your tastes when looking for an Incheon Nonhyeon-dong date spot. I think I would order the cheese katsu again next time too.
