On top of that we added gochujang pork belly and worked our way through bibimbap, doenjang stew, ramyeon, and zero-sugar cola. Rather than the clean, modern grill houses that are trendy right now, it leans more retro. The round stainless steel tables have a grill in the center with a chimney flue overhead, so the whole grilling atmosphere really comes through. The basic side dishes included wrap vegetables like lettuce and perilla leaves, along with kimchi, bean sprouts, garlic, and radish salad. We started by grilling the pork jowl. The chewy texture that's so characteristic of pork jowl really came through, and the fat was just right, giving it a nice savory flavor. We also ordered skirt meat, and the texture was completely different from the pork jowl, so I was glad we ordered both. Rather than sticking to just one cut, two servings of pork jowl plus one of skirt meat worked out well for us personally. And then the extra gochujang pork belly we added! It comes out generously coated in the red sauce, and the smell hits you the moment it goes on the grill. Completely different vibe from regular pork belly, so it was fun switching between menu items partway through. Mixed all together it's a pretty generous portion. Perfect topped with a piece of meat. The ramyeon was loaded with bean sprouts, so the broth felt a bit more refreshing than regular ramyeon. Eating the noodles together with the bean sprouts gave it a nice texture too. From meat to bibimbap to doenjang stew to ramyeon, I genuinely thought I was going to burst. After finishing the meat, we grilled marshmallows right on the grill. Big marshmallows come skewered on sticks, and you just roll them gently over the grill. Grilling marshmallows at a BBQ restaurant gave off a bit of a camping vibe. Once the outside turned golden, the inside melted soft, making it a great way to close out the meal. Overall there were plenty of cuts to choose from, and we could pick according to our taste while also getting a full meal in.
