Every time I visit Veteran General Fish Market Guwol Branch it's packed, so this time I went a bit earlier. I got there before 6pm and it was already busy! Proof this is a real hot spot, right?? Now I get why it's called a 'general fish market'... lol. Classic sashimi types like flounder, salmon, mullet, and sekkoshi (thin-sliced small fish sashimi) are priced reasonably in the ₩30,000s range, portioned generously enough for two people! If you're going with a group, ordering the Couple Set (₩58,000) or Family Set (₩88,000) — which lets you enjoy sashimi, sushi, fried food, and spicy fish stew all at once — seems like a great option! Beyond sashimi, there are also easygoing meal options. The lunch special sashimi set (₩13,900) comes packed with sashimi, sushi, fried food, spicy fish stew, and basic side dishes — perfect for a lunch spot, don't you think?? There's also a wide range of hearty options like hoedeopbap (raw fish over rice), altang (roe soup), and albap (roe rice), plus crispy-outside-tender-inside grilled mackerel, codfish stew, and blue crab stew — so many choices. I wanted to try everything, but today was a sashimi day!
