At MIMI Coffee Mill (미미커피방앗간) in Sunseong-myeon, Dangjin, I had drinks and desserts made with local specialties. Of the many items, the nutty, substantial MIMI Cream Latte and the not-too-sweet Dangjin Hopung sweet potato gelato were especially memorable.

## Where is it, and is parking convenient?

The address is 1064 Nambu-ro, Sunseong-myeon, Dangjin-si. The private parking lot was spacious, so I thought it would be manageable even for inexperienced drivers. The hours listed in the original post are 10:00–21:00 Monday through Saturday and 10:00–20:00 on Sundays, with last orders at 20:00 and 19:00 respectively.

## What is the converted-factory interior like?

Although it is a container building, the wood-toned interior felt warm. Retro-style objects stood out, and there were enough tables for groups. I also liked that the indoor restrooms were separated for men and women.

The counter and kitchen were set up on top of structures that looked like machinery. I do not know whether they were machines used in the former factory, but they made the converted-factory setting feel tangible. I thought it would suit a date or a gathering as well.

## What is on the menu besides the signatures, and how do you order?

This café is known for signature lattes made with grains. In summer, its old-fashioned yangpun misutgaru, a grain powder drink served in a tray and large bowl, is also said to be popular.

The breads for sale included ciabatta, Chodang corn bread, cinnamon bread, peanut butter soboro, mocha buns, and chapssal wandu. I was disappointed that the bread had sold out when I visited after lunch. The freezer held sundubu ice cream and sweet potato gelato, while the display case had sandwiches, macarons, butter bars, crungji, and palmier pastries.

The MIMI Cream Latte was presented as a seasonal menu item, topped with rice gangjeong in winter and black sesame in summer. Mine came topped with black sesame powder.

## What did the MIMI Cream Latte and freshly squeezed lemon tea taste like?

My husband ordered the MIMI Cream Latte, while I ordered the MIMI Lemon Tea. The MIMI Cream Latte uses misutgaru, a mixed grain powder, and its nutty, substantial cream was memorable. With the black sesame powder sprinkled on top, it was a good way to enjoy the nutty flavor of grains.

The freshly squeezed lemon tea was easy to drink, with a strong lemon aroma and flavor. It suited my preference for refreshing drinks.

## How were the sundubu ice cream and sweet potato gelato?

When I unwrapped the Dangjin sundubu ice cream, it was shaped like tofu. I sprinkled on the topping that came separately; it tasted like puffed rice and misutgaru. I could not confirm the exact ingredients, but it went well with the ice cream.

The Dangjin Hopung sweet potato gelato uses sweet potatoes from Dangjin. The gelato's characteristic chewy texture paired well with the sweet potato, and I enjoyed it even more because it was not overly sweet.

## Were the lemon butter bar and packed bread good?

It was my first time trying a butter bar, and I liked its chewy texture with the brightness of the lemon filling. Along with the lemon tea, it was one of the items whose refreshing flavor stayed with me.

I packed the remaining bread and ate it for dinner, and it was not soggy. The corn mochi soboro had a strong corn flavor, and the mochi throughout added texture. The peanut soboro paired the nuttiness of peanuts well with the sweetness of the cream.
